I have drifted away from Jesus. Drugs, pornography, gluttony and depression are weighing on me so heavily that I can’t appreciate what I have. I do not have the strength or willpower to do this myself. I wish I could cry but I cannot. I am going to start praying to Mary in the rosary daily. I just want to feel the joy and peace that had had before, albeit it was up and down.😦
 
Praying to the Holy Spirit to give you guidance, direction, strength, fortitude & wisdom in your time of need.

To start with, go to confession. Even before that, the Jesus prayer:
Jesus Christ, son of the living God, have mercy on me, a sinner.
When you return to Him you WILL feel Joy and Peace.

I will be praying for you.
 
Saint Michael, the archangel, defend us in battle, be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil, may God rebuke him, we humbly pray. And do you, O’ Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God thrust into Hell Satan and all the other evil spirits who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls.

I will remember you in my prayers today. And I urge you to follow through with your intention to resume praying the rosary daily. Our Lady will help you if you simply allow her to.

God is ready to welcome you just as the Father did in the Parable of the Prodigal Son.
 
Praying for you. Saying the rosary everyday will help you. Ask the Blessed Mother to assist you. Another poster said go to confession and I agree with this. I will keep you in my rosary intentions.

O Christ Jesus,
when all is darkness
and we feel our weakness and helplessness,
give us the sense of Your presence,
Your love, and Your strength.
Help us to have perfect trust
in Your protecting love
and strengthening power,
so that nothing may frighten or worry us,
for, living close to You,
we shall see Your hand,
Your purpose, Your will through all things.

Yes, please follow Ignatius’s advice.

Eternal God, in whom mercy is endless, and the treasury of compassion
inexhaustible, look kindly upon us and increase Your mercy in us, that in
difficult moments we might not despair nor become despondent, but
with great confidence, submit ourselves to Your Holy Will, which is love
and mercy itself.

The thing to remember is that God’s LOVE is UNCONDITIONAL,
Song of Songs 8:8ff says this about LOVE:
“Many waters cannot quench love, nor can many rivers
overflow it, if one were to offer all the wealth of his house
for love, it would be utterly scorned.”!
God offers us, ONE AND ALL, the same LOVE in Jesus.
the crucified, in Him “the body of this flesh is cut off by
the circumcision of Christ” Col 2:11
This LOVE is what will give us the courage to take
the initiative to CALL on the Lord for MERCY and
find GRACE to help in time of need. Ps 138:6
