I was headed down to the basement tonight to do some laundry and I must of missed the step or something because while I did not fall, I sprained my ankle really badly. I went to the local hospital for x rays and such, and luckily it was not broken, and they put it in an air cast. Pray that the finances will work out, because I really cannot afford to pay for the visit and our health insurance through the school is not good. Also pray that the pain will subside. While I am comfortable right now (sitting down), it hurt to try to walk. Who knew laundry could be so dangerous! 🤷

I’m so glad the bones weren’t broken, but when I was a girl I had a talent for spraining an ankle. Fortunately I only had two to sprain. If I’d have been a puppy it would have been all four!

I feel for you, remembering the pain and the hobbling. I hope you heal quickly. And I wish I were a billionaire as I’d give my money every time it’s needed. Who says money doesn’t matter! I guess many of us feel similarly frustrated when a friend needs extra to cover expenses.

I’ll pray for you, that you’ll rest enough, heal quickly and with strength, and that you’ll get through the payment worry without stress.
And for all the reasons God might have inspired you to post asking for prayers, as God usually has more in the prayer request than we intend. Hugs! :coffee::coffee:
 
Almighty and Eternal God, You are the everlasting health of those who believe in You. Please hear the prayers of Your faithful servant dsears, and those of all of us, Your children. Together, we pray for his healing, imploring the aid of Your tender mercy, that being restored to bodily health, dsears may give thanks to You in Your Church.

He took such a hard fall, and although no bones were fractured, the impairment is quite painful. We are so grateful, Lord, that his injury was not more serious, and ask You to please to grant him strength, endurance & perseverance through his suffering, for it is not only physical, but financial as well.

O Divine Providence, look with compassion upon dsears, and if it be Your holy will, ease his burdens & bring him to quick healing, for Lord, he places all his trust in You. May he continue joyfully following Your path, ever walking in Your footsteps.

O dearest comforter of the troubled, alleviate our worry and sorrow with your gentle love, and grant us the grace and strength to accept this burden. Dear God, we place our worries in your hands. We place our sick under your care and humbly ask that you restore your servant to health again. Above all, grant us the grace to acknowledge your will and know that whatever you do, you do for the love of us. Amen.

Thank you for your prayers. I was able to sleep well last night, but it was pretty uncomfortable. I sleep on my stomach. Try keeping your ankle above elevated when your on your stomach. They have me on a couple of medicines for the swelling and the pain. I was able to sleep pretty well this afternoon after I took the medicine.
 
Wanted to let everyone know that my ankle is still rather swollen, it does not hurt as bad as it did. I am on medicine which sadly puts me to sleep (missed the first half of the Colts game today :mad:) But I am doing better. I am though ready fo this ordeal to be over so please pray that I can stay patient and heal as I should.
