Hello, everyone…please keep me in your prayers…without going into the hardship of my situation…i would like all who visit here to please pray for me.

After a 24 year marriage and losing my wife to an affair, and aproximately six years of

being ordained…

Divorced and annulled…She intiated both these processes…

I will ask the Church for a dispensation to marry.

Through prayer and guidance and the love of my adult children i have come to this decision.

It has become unbearble to sustain myself financially and i would like the opportunity to

search for a christian life partner.

The Lord has never abandoned me and I am sure that God does not want my life to continue this way.

My mother who is 87 said to me if you have to leave your duties as a deacon, then live life

to the fullest by sharing the love of God to all who will listen…If denied dispensation …as a lay person i will continue follow Jesus the best I can…

Keep me in your prayers please…

[BIBLEDRB]I wish everyone could get along without marrying, just as I do. But we are not all the same. God gives some the gift of marriage, and to others he gives the gift of singleness.

Now I say to those who aren’t married and to widows – it’s better to stay unmarried, just as I am. But if they can’t control themselves, they should go ahead and marry. It’s better to marry than to burn with lust.

Apostle Paul[/BIBLEDRB]

I will pray for you, ineedofanswers. May God help you through this difficult time and fill you with his peace. May the Holy Spirit guide the tribunal and order all things well for you. May you continue to do good as a deacon and always live out the mission God gave you. May you persevere! Amen.

Heavenly Father, please help this brother who is suffering a difficult trial right now. Please show him Your faith as he shows his in You. Send the Holy Spirit to guide him in whatever direction you may need. Your will be done, Please send him a purpose and direction and send your love so that he knows that he is NEVER alone.

Thank you Lord.

I found this prayer (written by an unknown author and under various titles) and thought you may find some comfort in it.

I asked God for strength, that I might achieve;
I was made weak, that I might learn humbly to obey.
I asked for health, that I might do great things;
I was given infirmity, that I might do better things.
I asked for riches, that I might be happy;
I was given poverty, that I might be wise.
I asked for power, that I might have the praise of men;
I was given weakness, that I might feel the need of God.
I asked for all things, that I might enjoy life;
I was given life, that I might enjoy all things.
I got nothing I asked for - but everthing I had hoped for;
Almost despite myself, my unspoken prayers were answered.
I am, among men, most richly blessed!

Also, I prayed for you today and for all deacons who may find themselves in a similiar situation. I really hope it is God’s will that you are granted a dispensation so that you may not feel the need to give up being a deacon.
