Vater unser im Himmel,
Geheiligt werde dein Name.
Dein Reich komme.

in Ewigkeit.
Amen.

Amen.

Sending prayers for all those who mourn and for the souls of those who were killed.

Can you imagine that happening in the U.S.?

“Islamic militants have systematically attacked Christians in Iraq since the collapse of Saddam Hussein’s regime. Catholics made up 2.89 percent of Iraq’s population in 1980; by 2008 they were merely 0.89 percent.”

Pope Benedict thanked Jordan for taking in Iraq’s Catholics and Christian populations during his visit there in 2009.

Pater noster, qui es in caelis,
Sanctificetur nomen tuum.
Adveniat tegnum tuum.
Fiat voluntas tua, sicut in caelo et in terra.
Panem nostrum quodtidaianum da nobis hodie,
Et dimitte nobis debita nostra sicut et nos dimittimus debitoribus nostris.
Et ne nos inducas intenotationem,
Sed libera nos a malo. Amen.

Ave Maria, gratia plena, Dominus tecum.
Benedicta tu in mulieribus,
Et benedictus fructus ventirs tui, Iesus.
Sancta Maris, Mater Dei, ora pro nobis peccatoribus,
Nunc, et in hora mortis nostrae. Amen.

Dear Jesus, as I hear of these valiant and suffering Christians, especially Christian families, suffering in Iraq, I am reminded of all my own blessings and freedoms. I pray that the Christians of the middle-east be comforted and strengthened in their Faith, and that their persecution and suffering be overcome with tolerance, and opportunities for new life. I thank you also for all those who have granted safe harbour to refugees, despite the great cost, and I pray that we who live in comfort will open our hearts to refugees, just as your own family were once refugees in Egypt.

Hail Mary,…
Our Father,…
Glory be,…

I pray particularly for the victims of in this church which was attacked today, and for their families and all those who will experience new fear and suffering as a result.

Hail Mary,…
Our Father,…
Glory be,…

I prayed. You have all got me thinking a lot about my blessings and freedoms that we take for granted.
Including them in my rosary prayers tonight …
I’m going to as well.

The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb,

Lord, please protect Iraqi Christians from terrorism. Please have mercy on all of the souls who were lost in this massacre and grant them eternal peace. Heal the bodies and minds of those Christians who were injured and protect them from future harm. Thank you, Lord, for hearing my prayer. Amen.

Save [us], O God!
Lord, help [us] now!
May those who try to kill [us] be defeated and confused.
May those who are happy because of [our] troubles be
turned back and disgraced.
May those who make fun of [us] be dismayed by their defeat.

May all who come to you be glad and joyful.
May all who are thankful for your salvation
always say, “How great is God!”

[We] are weak and poor;
come to [us] quickly,
O God.
You are [our] saviour and [our] Lord–
hurry to [our] aid!

Do not let the wounds of WHAT WAS nor the fears of WHAT WILL BE, rob you of the joy of WHAT IS. The joy of the present moment. Take the Lord’s hand and together you will walk this journey, Do not be afraid. He goes before you always, He will never abandon you.

St. Teresa of Avila advised:-
Let nothing disturb you. Let nothing frighten you. Everything passes. Only God does not change.
Patience achieves everything. He who possesses God wants nothing else. Only God suffices.

God Is with Us (Ps 46 TEV)

1 God is our shelter and strength,
always ready to help in times of trouble.

2 So we will not be afraid, even if the earth is shaken
and mountains fall into the ocean depths;

3 even if the seas roar and rage,
and the hills are shaken by the violence.

4 There is a river that brings joy to the city of God,
to the sacred house of the Most High.

5 God is in that city, and it will never be destroyed;
at early dawn he will come to its aid.

6 Nations are terrified, kingdoms are shaken;
God thunders, and the earth dissolves.

7 The LORD Almighty is with us;
the God of Jacob is our refuge.

8 Come and see what the LORD has done.
See what amazing things he has done on earth.

9 He stops wars all over the world;
he breaks bows, destroys spears,
and sets shields on fire.

10 “Stop fighting,” he says, “and know that I am God,
supreme among the nations,
supreme over the world.”

11 The LORD Almighty is with us;
the God of Jacob is our refuge.

Hail Mary, full of grace,
the Lord is with thee;
blessed art thou amongst women,
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.

Holy Mary, Mother of God,
pray for us sinners,
now and at the hour of our death.
Amen.
