Hello! Thank you all for clicking.
For the last few months all I have felt is doubt. Mostly, I am struggling with anti-catholicism and pagan claims, and as simple as they should be to logically brush aside, fear and anxiety have taken over me. It’s so bad that I’ve become overly suspicious of the rosary so I usually don’t pray it, I can hardly think about Judgement without terribke fear and despair sweeping over me, and I generally don’t know who to trust. I keep fearing that I’m falling into some sort of trap or deception, even though I know how unlikely it is.
I have a terrible fear of God’s wrath and the eternal fires of hell. Everytime I try to brush off fundamentalist claims I suddenly wonder if I’m becoming hard of heart, like “What if they’re telling the truth, and I’m refusing to listen?!”
I’ve told my mother about it, and she says I have scrupelosity. I don’t doubt that.
Please pray for my faith in the Church and my general wellbeing. Any advice would help me greatly. Sorry if this post seems repetitive, I’m on mobile and can’t really review it.
