Please pray for my father Tomas C. He is a freemason. He is a baptized catholic, however, he is not practicing. Neither is my mother. I am a revert to the faith (thank the Lord!) for the last 2 -3 years my husband and I have come back to the faith and we are trying to explain to my father why he shouldn’t be a mason.

My father also has a heart condition. He can no longer work. This is very hard for him. He is not old. So being involved in Freemasonry fills his days. He is into it so deeply now. I worry that with his heart condition his health will fail before he will come back to the church. I gave him a book about the origins of the bible. Sometimes we discuss the church and it’s teachings. I never argue with him. I try to evangelize gently.

I love him and I want so badly for him to come home to the Lord!
Thank you!

From today’s Liturgy of the Hours:

Psalm 17 (18)

I will love you, Lord, my strength: Lord, you are my foundation and my refuge, you set me free.
My God is my help: I will put my hope in him, my protector, my sign of salvation, the one who raises me up.
I will call on the Lord – praise be to his name – and I will be saved from my enemies.

The waves of death flooded round me, the torrents of Belial tossed me about,
the cords of the underworld wound round me, death’s traps opened before me.
In my distress I called on the Lord, I cried out to my God:
from his temple he heard my voice, my cry to him came to his ears.

Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit,
as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be,
world without end.
Amen.

I will pray for your intentions

God Bless,
In Jesus through Mary

I will pray to our Lady for you, Angela. You have my mother’s name and my father’s name was Thomas, also! He was also a mason at one time. He gave it up as a condition of marriage to my mom…he never converted, though. Be at peace. God bless.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou amongst women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now, and in the hour of our death. Amen.

I too was a mason before i found what I had in the church I was baptized in. I left masonry and I have never looked back. I never found it compatble with Jesus and the church’s teachings and that is why I left.

I’m praying for your father to realize where the real truth is.

Prayerfully,

Renato

Oh my Gosh - everything sounds EXACTLY like my Dad! He was baptized Catholic and then converted to mormonism and has been a Mason for at least 30 years. It’s no use for me to talk to him, because he gets really defensive and I don’t want to upset him (he is 76 and has bladder cancer, a heart condition, and other health issues as well). Along with prayers for my own Dad, I will offer my Rosary today for your Dad as well. We can storm Heaven for both of them 🙂
