Our organist mother has cancer and it has spread to her lungs. Please keep her mom and the Mernagh family in your prayers.

Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil.

Hail Mary full of grace the Lord is with you, Blessed are you among women and blessed is the fruit of your womb Jesus. Holy Mary Mother of God pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death Amen.

Glory be to the Father the Son and the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning is now and ever shall be world with out end Amen.
O Lord, Holy Father, omnipotent and eternal God, I give You thanks and I bless Your holy name. I know I’m a poor miserable sinner but hear a cause that is just, turn your ear to my prayer. Amen

Prayers for your intentions….

O my Jesus, forgive us our sins. Save us from the fires of Hell; lead all souls into Heaven, especially those in most need of Thy mercy. Amen.

Lord Jesus, hear my prayers. Amen

For those who suffer,
and those who cry this night,
give them repose, Lord;
a pause in their burdens.
Let there be minutes
where they experience peace,
not of man
but of angels.
Love them, Lord,
when others cannot.
Hold them, Lord,
when we fail with human arms.
Hear their prayers
and give them the ability to hear You back
in whatever language they best understand. Amen

O Glorious St. Clare! God has given you the power of working miracles continually, and the favor of answering the prayers of those who invoke your assistance in misfortune, anxiety, and distress. I beseech you, obtain from Jesus through Mary His Blessed Mother, what I beg of you so fervently and hopefully, may mother of my friend be cured of her cancer and that her family find strength and courage in the days ahead, and may all who suffer from cancer find peace and strength, if it be for the greater honor and glory of God and for the good of our souls. Amen.

Lord, stretch forth your healing hand and aid the family of my friends mom. Send your angel to guard over her and strengthen her in her struggle for recovery. Amen

In Thy Sacred Heart my Jesus, Hide Thou me
From the storm that round me rages Hide Thou me
Where no mortal arm can sever From the one I love forever
In Thy Sacred Heart my Jesus, Hide Thou me

In the hour of bitter sorrow, Hide Thou me
Whisper comfort for the morrow, Jesus to me
When the tempters darts are wielding, And my soul is almost yielding
In Thy Sacred Heart my Jesus, Hide Thou me

Through the desert though I wander, Hide Thou me
Be my guide, be my defender, Hide Thou me
In the mist of death’s dark billows, Let Thy Bosom be my pillow
In Thy Sacred Heart my Jesus, Hide Thou me

Lord help me to remember that nothing is going to happen to me today that You and I together can’t handle. I ask Lord that you send your angel to the mother of my friend to eb the tide of everyday anxieties, worry and discomfort that she or her family may experience, to strengthen her resolve, her spirit and her heart and to those who love and care for her. For these do I pray. Amen

O Jesus,
through the Immaculate Heart of Mary,
I offer You my prayers, works,
joys and sufferings
of this day for all the intentions
of Your Sacred Heart,
in union with the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass
throughout the world,
in reparation for my sins,
for the intentions of all my relatives and friends,
and in particular for the mother of my friend and
for the intentions of the Holy Father. Amen.

Oh Blessed Mother, help the mother of my friend throughout the day. Ask our Lord to stretch forth his healing hand and strengthen her and if it be his will to cure her. Let your own loving heart embrace her and all who suffer from cancer. Let those who care for her do so selfishly and lovingly. For these dear Mother do I pray. Amen

Take, O Lord, and receive my entire liberty, my memory, my understanding and my whole will. All that I am and all that I possess You have given me: I surrender it all to You to be disposed of according to Your will. Give me only Your love and Your grace; with these I will be rich enough, and will desire nothing more.

I cannot tell why there should come to me
A thought of someone miles and miles away
In swift instance on the memory
Unless there be a need to pray

Too hurried oft are we to spare a thought
For days together, of some friend away,
Perhaps God does it for us, and we ought
To read His signal as a call to pray.

Perhaps, just then my friend has fiercer fight,
Some overwhelming sorrow or decay
Of courage; darkness some lost sense of right;
And so in case he needs my prayer, I pray.

Friend do the same for me! if I unsought
Intrude upon you on some crowded day.
Give me a moment’s prayer, in passing thought;
Be very sure I need it; therefore, pray. *Marianne Farningham *

Oh Blessed Mother, watch over my friends mom today. Bring her peace of mind and strength of body. May her days ahead be filled with joy and may those who care for her find solace in your arms. Amen

When the storms of life are raging,
Stand by me;
When the storms of life are raging,
Stand by me;
When the world is tossing me
Like a ship upon the sea
Thou Who rulest wind and water,
Stand by me.

In the midst of tribulation,
Stand by me;
In the midst of tribulation,
Stand by me;
When the hosts of hell assail,
And my strength begins to fail,
Thou Who never lost a battle,
Stand by me.

When I’m growing old and weary,
Stand by me;
When I’m growing old and weary,
Stand by me;
When my days shall know there number,
When in death we sweetly slumber,
O Thou “Lily of the Valley,”
Stand by me.

Oh Blessed Mother, watch over my friends mom today. Bring her peace of mind and strength of body. May her days ahead be filled with joy and may those who care for her find solace in your arms. Amen

Dear Lord, I ask that you send your angel to my friends mom to strengthen her and comfort her as you were strengthened and comforted in the garden of Gethsemane. Let her feel the warmth and love of family and friends and when the anxieties of her illness come rushing in upon her as I am sure they do, let those closest to her embrace and comfort her. Amen

Hail Mary,
Full of Grace,
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit
of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of death.

Amen.

O great St. Peregrine, you have been called “The Mighty,” “The Wonder-Worker,” because of the numerous miracles which you have obtained from God for those who have had recourse to you. For so many years you bore in your own flesh this cancerous disease that destroys the very fiber of our being, and who had recourse to the source of all grace when the power of man could do no more.
You were favored with the vision of Jesus coming down from His Cross to heal your affliction. Ask of God and Our Lady, the cure of the sick whom we entrust to you, Cynthia Mernagh and her family. Aided in this way by your powerful intercession, we shall sing to God, now and for all eternity, a song of gratitude for His great goodness and mercy.
Amen

Lord, help me live from day to day
in such a self forgetful way
that even when I kneel to pray
my prayer shall be for others.

Others, Lord yes others,
let this my motto be
help me to live for others
that I may live like thee

And when my work on earth is done
and my new work in heavens begun
may I forget the crown I won
while thinking still of others

Dear Lord, I ask that you send your angel to my friends mom to strengthen her and comfort her as you were strengthened and comforted in the garden of Gethsemane.
