My friends,

I would really appreciate prayers for my husband. I believe he suffers from depression and is going to spend today in bed. Long story short, his behavior is very stressful on our kids and on me. It’s hard to see him going through this.

Thank you all with all my heart.

My husband went through stress breakdown, slept long hours, it took time but he gets up at a reasonable time now, though he still has effects. He isn’t angry all the time any more, so I understand family stress.
Lord help this family to remain united and loving, and able to cope with all the responsibilities of family life. Please give healing, guidance and strength where it is needed. For this we thank You Lord.

Oh Dear I have gone though the staying in bed when my dad and my husband passed, also when I got laid off. This was in the first stages of loss, for me. I pray that your husband snaps out of it soon.

O merciful Lord please hear our prayers

Depression is definitely a mental sickness; and can be very debilitating! I offer this prayer for your husband:

Almighty and eternal God, you are the everlasting health of those who believe in you. Hear us for your sick servant for whom we implore the aid of your tender mercy, that being restored to bodily health, he may give thanks to you in your church. Through Christ our Lord.

Amen

Am praying for your husband (been there myself) and also for you & your family.

If his depression persists there IS NO SHAME in seeing a GOOD physician. The brain is no different than other organs of the body. Just as over exertion can affect the heart & lungs, too much Popeyes can send cholesteral sky high, etc… There is no shame in taking anti depressives.

And what I mean by a GOOD physician; someone that isn’t just going to “throw pills at you” and “come see me in 2 months”

Also, some folks (like me) have a genetic pre-dispostion towards depression and this is no different than pre-dispositions to things as diabities, cancer, etc…

Sorry for the cheap anatomy lesson, just wanting to give you some “soft ammo” to use should your husband not be receptive to seeing a doc.

God Bless ALL of you

Frank

Praying with all my heart for your husband.

Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection, implored thy help, or sought thine intercession was left unaided.
Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto thee, O Virgin of virgins, my mother; to thee do I come, before thee I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in thy mercy hear and answer me.

Amen.

My wife can relate to your post…In the past, I have spent several days in bed due to depression. Prayer, proper medication, and family pulled me through. I pray to the Father that your husband overcomes the debilitating effects of depression, and your family can become whole.

Our father who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name, Thy kindgom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation but deliever us from evil. Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou amongst women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be world without end. Amen.
