Pray for My Husband's Life to be Spared

Dear All,

Some of you may remember that a few weeks ago I posted on my husband’s (aka bzkoss or Ben) account a prayer request on his behalf. He suffered cardiac arrest at a friend’s wedding reception. It took an hour for them to resuscitate him and he has since been in a coma. We have received information in the last twenty four hours which indicates that this weekend will likely be a turning point for him. The doctor does not expect him to survive into next week. Though I sincerely do not believe this, it still shakes me to the core. I want more than anything to celebrate our first anniversary together, to raise our children together, to have our life together. I urgently ask that you lift him up in fervent prayer for the miracle of complete healing. I will be fasting tomorrow for anyone who would like to join.

I will fast tomorrow for your husband. Prayers also out for him and you from me.

PLEASE ask a Catholic Priest to come and give him anointing of the Sick too. As soon as possible.

I was asking G_D to direct me to somer prayers that would be most helpful, when suddenly I flashed on a prayer, an “express novena” that I had copied into my prayer file I keep on my desktop. I don’t know the original author; I’m just going to copy it here the same way it appeared over in the End Times Speculation thread about 3 years ago:

Express Novena of Nine Memorares

Hello brothers and sisters in the Lord Jesus Christ. I just wanted to share something I found out on the internet today. I prayed the 1 day novena to the Infant of Prague, 9x one day only and I decided to see if there were any other novenas that could be said nine times a day.

Well, I found one I’ve NEVER heard of. The name is a little odd, but Mother Teresa gave it it’s name and she said repeatedly that this novena, called an EXPRESS NOVENA, is very powerful with God and Our Lady.

What you do, is
make the sign of the cross,
then state your intentions
then (sincerely) pray the Memorare prayer
then state your intentions again
then (sincerely) pray the Memorare prayer
and you keep doing this until you have
stated your intentions
and recited the Memorare
nine times.

Mother Teresa said that this prayer caused her sisters to receive travel visas from the communist authorities in the former city of East Berlin when, just before praying the Express Novena, she had received a call from the communist officials saying it would take a long time to get the travel documents.

But right after saying the Express Prayer, the officials called back and said they could prepare the documents RIGHT AWAY. Mother Teresa of Calcutta really swore by the efficacy of this Express Novena of Nine Memorares.

*Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection, implored thy help, or sought thine intercession was left unaided.

Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto thee, O Virgin of virgins, my mother; to thee do I come, before thee I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in thy mercy hear and answer me.

Dear Father, I pray for Ben, husband of lydiajoykoss. Lord, we all come to you in prayer and ask that you please spare Ben and allow him to have a beautiful life and marriage with his wife. Please allow them to be together, Father, to remain strong in their relationship with you in their hearts to fulfill Your purpose, Father. Please allow them both a renewed sense of health. Father, all things and any thing is possible with Your strength, we ask you to please dear Lord, have mercy. Christ, please have mercy. Through You, Ben can be healed and carry on a life in Your service. Please be with this family, help them during their time of need and give them a sense of peace. Thank you.

Pray for Ben and Lydia who are so needy; make use, I implore you, of that particular privilege accorded to you to bring visible and speedy help where help is almost despaired. Come to their assistance in this great need that they may receive the consolations and succor of heaven in all their necessities, tribulations and sufferings and that they may bless God with you and all the elect throughout eternity.
