I’m losing hope. My husband wants a divorce. He says there is nothing I can do to change it. I have three beautiful children including a nine week old daughter. He’s lost his faith. I’ve almost lost mine. Why isn’t God hearing me? Please God don’t let this happen. Save my marriage. Change his mind. Give me a second chance. I really need a miracle. Please please pray for us. We haven’t tried counseling even. I have never been unfaithful. I do have trouble controlling emotions when we argue as he does but he keeps placing all blame on me and said kids have seen to much and he is not reconsidering. I am willing to give counseling my all. Anything to save us but he just wants to end it. I don’t even believe in divorce! He says he’s going to hell anyways. I am hurting terribly. Please God save us and my children. Please pray for us!

First of all, I recommend you go to Sacramental Confession as soon as possible. Then, daily Mass, if possible. You’re spiritually naked and defenseless at this point. Also, start saying your Rosary every day, without exception. And consecrate yourself to Mary. Satan has overwhelmed you and your life and is having his wish - your misery and destruction. Same for your husband.

Sometimes, God allows us to go through great trials in order to purify us and make us more pleasing to Him. When gold is purified, it’s put in a crucible and the heat turned all the way up as hot as it will go! Then, the goldsmith skims off the impurities (called slag), and throws that away. When the goldsmith can see his own reflection clearly in the molten gold, he knows it’s done. Same with God. When He can look at you in your crucible of suffering and clearly see Himself, He knows you’re done. It’s a gift.

In the meantime, I’ll pray for you that God’s will be done for you and provide you some relief, according to His will. God bless!

Thank you for your prayers. I went to confession on Saturday and will hopefully meet witha priest today. I pray there is hope for us. I’ve prayed the rosary and will more as well as divine mercy chaplet at 3. Would anyone like to join me at 3 pray the chaplet for us I’d greatly appreciate it more that words could express.

Ask the priest for a counselor that can help you. You should go even if he doesn’t. I am sorry you are in my prayers.

With some differences I find myself almost exactly in the same desperate situation. Not wishing to sound like a martyr, I need to know if this suffering ends. My wife is the absolute love of my life, even before my three beautiful little daughters. I truly adore her. But at this stage, after 10 years of strife-not-marriage, I feel utterly alone. I find myself getting ever angrier with God. I attend mass (with my girls and despite the difficulty of tending to the little terrors and often without their mom who has little desire to go to mass) and usually leave embittered and disillusioned. I look around me and resent my fellow Catholics who hold hands and sing and pray and just look so happy.

I joined the choir. I joined the music group. I sought guidance from our most excellent and intuitive priest. But I feel increasingly abandoned. Where is God? It’s been a year since things took a real turn for the worse in our marriage (thanks to me, a sin for which I have been to confession yet feel no absolution). She refuses to forgive me. She is torturing me. I know what I did I was wrong and I will always carry the burden of that memory, but when will I win my spouse back?
In the heat of a really bad moment and amid serious financial strain (ongoing), her frustration with me led to my my violent handling of her… Physically.

I am in need of prayer. So much of it! I don’t know where to turn.

How has it worked out for you and please can you offer a prayer for my wife, our children and I?
