Pray for my Reconciliation

I want to have the strength, Fortitude and Courage to pick up the phone and schedule a private Reconciliation appointment at my local Parish, but I find myself lacking and discouraged, especially to certain sins, habits and things.
Pray for me, Brothers and Sisters, that I -along with the Lord- will quash the Devil’s plans to drag me into the pits of Hell.

Praying for you.

I was away from the Sacrament of Reconciliation for about 20 years. When I finally came back to the church (I am a “revert”) and got the courage to go to reconciliation…it was an incredibly beautiful experience. So peaceful…the Priest didn’t care how long I was away…he was just so happy I was back and he told me so. I came away feeling like I was walking on a cloud. That was over 10 years ago. Since then…I have made Reconciliation a very frequent part of my faith journey and in doing so…I’ve come to appreciate the Sacrament more than I ever knew I could. You are not there to be judged…the Priest has heard whatever you have to say a million times. The point is…you are making the effort and showing love for God. Every time I hear the words “I absolve you from you sins and God grant you pardon and peace”…it’s just an amazing feeling.

Wishing you luck in your journey. Take the step when you are ready…you won’t regret it.
