pray for my son

I desperately need your help. I have a son - 20 years old - intelligent and beautiful - but my relationship with him is not the best one.
He has had trouble with drugs (marihuana, hashish) - he is bitter - he has not been able to finish any kind of education - he is without hope. I think I have fought for many years - but I have nearly given up.I really don´t know what to do and how to reach him.
I have tried with pscycologists etc. - without effect. Now and then despite of everything in a few moments he shows - despite of everything - that he cares for his family.
He feels that I love his brother more than him - maybe it really is so… his brother is so uncomplicated.
I was left by my husband many years go. Please take us into your prayers.

I am sorry that you and your son are suffering so, but there is hope, there is God and He is there for you and your son. Please don’t give up. Pray unceasingly, go to confession, receive the Holy Eucharist.

I find the Rosary very good weapon against evil and sin.

You will be in my prayers asking God to help you find strength and love in your heart to go on praying and trusting in His will. May God lead your son away from sin and help him to see His light and everlasting love He has for your beautiful son.
 
:gopray: I’m glad to hear you all are close. Thats important. I was a user until the age of 19. Then I stopped the daily use and limited it to certain occasions. I’ve stopped completely now and I am pretty straight edge. It faded away like a fad for me, so don’t loose heart. I’m 36 now and haven’t smoked pot in years, nor want to. God Bless, Tim

I have a mother who has endured the same type of thing. I pray for your family that the enemy would not be allowed to continue to divide. Divide and conquer- that’s the game.
 
Drugs are a very jealous mistress and push away all the loved ones.

Continue to be strong. Pray for him. We will keep you in our prayers for peace and comfort soon and may St. Joseph intercede for your family and guide your son’s heart to family and happiness once again.
 
He may have to hit rock bottom before starts climbing back to the light of the love of god and of his family. Don’t give up on him, look to jesus for strength and to the holy mother for guidance. You may feel at times to wash your hands of him because your other son is just easier to love, but do not turn from your path. Remember the way of the cross, it was torturous and full of sheer agony, yet in the end god showed us mercy and forgiveness.
 
Dear Rutz…I will keep you and your sons in prayer, especially the one who has drug problems. May The Lord hold you all close and through Our Lady of Peace and her prayers unite you in Peace and Joy in Him…Blessings - Barb

My prayers for you all - especially to St Monica who had many troubles with her own son, who after a wayward youth became St Augustine, theologian and Doctor of the Church :gopray2:

Thank you to all of you for your prayers. That gives me some hope.
Today there has been no shouting and for some moments we were able to speak together.
Please pray that we can continue this healing process - even if it will take years.
