Since I’ve asked prayers for my wife’s return, there wasn’t much development, until very recently. Out of the blue, last Sunday my wife asked if we could meet. I wasn’t expecting that–not totally anyway. I was expecting that to happen more either August or September. I think I need to backtrack a bit in my story to see where it all came from, and where so far it will be going. Around May or June my sister-in-law (her sister), told me that she might come here around September. That got me excited and wondering at the same time. She wouldn’t say that if my wife wasn’t going with her as well. So I pressed her on until she did admit that my wife planned to surprise me in September, and they even talked about my birthday on that month. Now I realized something was really going on, but little did I realize that it would come even sooner than expected. And so it did came last Sunday, when my wife asked if we could meet. Arguably, one could say it wasn’t exactly in the best of circumstances since she asked if she could have money for her rent. I realized that there might be an opportunity there to get her to come home, so at first I said I would lend her if she would come home on that same day, but she said she still had some things to take care of. So I batted for Monday, until she agreed to Friday. I told her I would hold her promise to come home Friday. For me it was a big development considering we didn’t meet for 2 years. And what made me hopeful about it all was when we met, we didn’t feel awkward toward each other. Actually, it’s like she never left–I was just happy to see her, and she was also all smiles. I sensed a genuine happiness in her seeing me. I felt it. I realized that this must be true. Of course, I still have my apprehensions, since she has this habit of backing out of her promise even to the last minute. So I ask for your continued prayers, and that what happened last Sunday would be a sign of a true healing, a reconciliation and reunification, and that we could start all over again.

Dear Heavenly Father, today I pray, not for my own wife, or my marriage. Today I pray to you in favor of this man who’s wife has strayed away. Please Lord ease his sufferring and reveal to him Your wisdom in this matter. Keep his wife safe and send your Holy Spirit to speak your words to her and reveal the commitment of marriage to her. Lord, guide her home. Instill in them both the power of forgiveness and unconditional love. I pray to you Father, in the name of your son, Jesus Christ, whos sufferring and torment on earth was incomprehensible to my feeble mind. Now he sits on your right hand, where you will rule as one God, forever and ever. - Amen
