He’s getting hit very hard with all that has gone on from every angle. Please pray for him, know that he has our full support and that we know, he’s doing the absolute best with what he has to work with during these disturbing times. The gates of hell will not prevail against our Church, nor will they overwhelm him!!!

Father of providence,
look with love on Benedict XVI our Pope,
your appointed successor to St. Peter
on whom you built your Church.
May he be the visible center and foundation
of our unity in faith and love.

Grant this through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son,
who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit,
one God, for ever and ever.

Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace,
the Lord is with thee.
Blessed are thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, mother of God,
pray for us sinners,
now and at the hour of our death.
Amen

Our Father, who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come, thy will be done
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
and forgive us our tresspasses
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
Amen

Glory be to the Father,
and to the Son,
and to the Holy Spirit,
as it was in the beginning,
is now, and will be forever,
world without end.
Amen

I talked to the priest at my local parish, we are going to have a special adoration dedicated for him. He also explained to me how the politics of this works, and how the pope wasn’t in the wrong here. What happens, a few priests are trapped in the public spotlight, many guilty and innocent party’s are blamed, the ones that are blamed, regardless of guilt, are immediately put on suspension. The ones that are guilty get punished, but the ones that are not also are ruined as well in the process. When this stuff goes public, people jump on board, become sue happy, and many innocent priests are destroyed in the process. This is why it’s necessary to try to keep what happens, outside of the public spot light, it ruins good priests and it does severe damage to the church. Things like this happen all of the time, the truth is secondary, the damage is done regardless of it, and most people do not know the full truth to these matters, only want to point a finger.
