GASP!!!

You haven’t lived.

Just don’t watch the new ones. Most are trash. 😠

We have different interpretations of things. Will leave it at that

Well to be honest I did go to the very first one back in 1978, over a year after its release. I found it dreadfully boring and slept through most of it. I’ve never been interested in seeing any more.

I don’t think Trump is evil for being a sinner, just like I don’t think you are evil for being a sinner. What we cannot support is when politics is used to institutionalize and promote evil, such as what Hillary Clinton spearheads with abortion and all the moral rot being normalized by the left. I’m sure you’ve lied, cheated, been proud and arrogant, and committed all kinds of naughty things, right? though you are not championing them as good. So the danger of your position is that you run the risk of being a hypocrite.
This is the key thing. Trump may have done bad things…but he’s not promoting intrinsically evil things as points of policy. Hilary was.

It’s very important that we all vote. Otherwise, Russians hackers, alone, get to decide the outcome of the election" 😎

You can also find it many other places

The 9 Non-Negotiables - Catholic Stand

And here is a video on it.

NOTE: There is a major difference between lobbying to make same sex marriage illegal when it’s already been legalized vs. trying to prevent the legalization. As far as I know, the non-negotiable regarding same-sex marriage does NOT call for us to work to overturn legalized same-sex marriages.

Also, it is possible simultaneously to be in favor of protecting the traditional definition of marriage and making it easier for roommates to receive next of kin or spousal rights. In countries where same-sex marriage is not legal, you don’t have to have same-sex marriage legalized in order to grant same-sex couples spousal rights. Honestly, there are many roommate that should be allowed to have next of kin / “spousal rights.” Like, two adult siblings living together to help raise children or manage costs or parent moving in with adult single child.

God bless.

Yes, several people associated with the EWTN & Catholic Answers family of apostates have talked about the list that Mr. Keating composed.

That does not mean that booklet is the fullness of the Catholic teaching wrt moral issues.

It doesn’t claim to be the “fullness.” And even though the list doesn’t have an imprimatur (at least not that I’m aware of, not sure if the video does or not), I’ve never heard of a bishop contradicting the list since it was originally released.

Not a matter of contradicting.

The list is only a subset of the issues that a Catholic must consider.

Again, Hillary Clinton supports killing babies
What hateful rhetoric. A candidate “supports killing babies”? Really?

Tell us how you really feel. How is such hatred permitted on a Catholic forum?

There is oh, so much hatred – so much hate – on this message board.
What hateful rhetoric – on a Catholic message board. How is such hatred tolerated here?
That question is easily answered. This terminology is tolerated because it is not hatred, it is not hate, it is not hateful rhetoric or anything of that kind. It is criticism expressed in sharp terms, but that’s as far as it goes. It is not hate. The “hate” is entirely in your imagination.

Anything that goes against secular leftist ideology is ‘hate speech’. Facts are in fact ‘hate speech’ according to many on the left.

“Oh no what hateful rhetoric!! Something I disagree with. I just joined this forum fourteen hours ago and I’m already offended by Catholic teaching.”

You know it’s summer time when the pollen count is up and the trolls are a trollin.

I think the problem is that you are too proud.
I am happy to have a conversation about the relative merits of HRC, Trump, and other politicians. But the moment you take petty shots at my character like this, you’ve derailed the discussion.

I already addressed this weak diversionary argument earlier.

The difference between me and Trump:
  1. I’m not running for such a position of authority. Those who are given much [power, in this case], much is required. Quite simply, the standards of character are higher for leaders.
  2. Regardless of the fact that we are both sinners, only one of us acknowledges that truth. The other made a statement that he doesn’t need any forgiveness from God.
Finally, both of the above apply to HRC, who was good friends with DT prior to the election.

It’s easy to live in theory. I’m sure if the vandals were at the door, you woudn’t be musing in theory but screaming to God for help. the problem is that God only has sinners to work with
It isn’t theory for me. I expect at some point Trump’s thugs will lose all veneer of civility and begin outright attacking anyone who openly disagrees with or criticizes him. Trump is a crime boss, it’s how he operates. Lawless.

Furthermore, many Christians have stood firm in the face of evil over the ages. I don’t see why this generation is exempt.

Don’t take it personally, but rather as constructive; It’s just the impression I get.

Well, for 40 years he was just a popular celebrity; now after the negative media spin he’s the worst thing since Hitler…

If you rather have a polite politician who will lie to you with a smile while pushing all sorts of abominations, such as abortion on demand, activist judges on the Supreme Court; confiscation of your income, the loss of religious liberty and to top it off, participating in occult spirit cooking practices, then go ahead and stay home and don’t vote to stop it.
Regardless of the fact that we are both sinners, only one of us acknowledges that truth. The other made a statement that he doesn’t need any forgiveness from God.
But that’s only because you have the gift of faith… once someone has the faith now they are the ones required to forgive and pray for the sinner’s conversion, not be outraged by their personal sins, but rather, ratchet up your prayers; after all, at one point you had not repented and God was patient with you. We don’t want anyone to go to hell; not even your worst enemy. So again; hate the sin not the sinner. Pray for the conversion of sinners. Hillary Clinton and Obama attended church and yet we’re the biggest proponents of the Culture of Death…
