I agree these men are the backbone of our lives. They get u closer to God.

My prayers are always for them and for those who are considering the priesthood and deaconate.

Saint Michael, the archangel, defend us in battle, be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil, may God rebuke him, we humbly pray. And do you, O’ Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God thrust into Hell Satan and all the other evil spirits who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls.

Amen.

†

Our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name.

Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.

And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

Amen.

†

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.

Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb Jesus.

Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death.

Amen.

**Father, source of light in every age,
the virgin conceived and bore Your Son
Who is called Wonderful God,
Prince of Peace.
May her prayer,
the gift of a mother’s love,
be Your people’s joy through all ages.
May her response,
born of a humble heart,
draw Your Spirit to rest on Your people.
Grant this through Christ our Lord.

Amen. **

Our Father, who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name.

Give us this day our daily bread,
and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.

As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end.
Amen.

A Prayer for Priests

By St. Thérèse of Lisieux

O Jesus, eternal Priest,
keep your priests within
the shelter of Your Sacred Heart,
where none may touch them.

Keep unstained their anointed hands,
which daily touch Your Sacred Body.

Keep unsullied their lips,
daily purpled with your Precious Blood.

Keep pure and unearthly their hearts,
sealed with the sublime mark of the priesthood.

Let Your holy love surround them and
shield them from the world’s contagion.

Bless their labors with abundant fruit and
may the souls to whom they minister
be their joy and consolation
here and in heaven their beautiful and
everlasting crown. Amen.

Prayer to Saint Paul the Apostle for Priests

Great convert and Apostle of the Gentiles, you became Christlike and knew only Christ Crucified. Though extremely learned, you relied completely on the Wisdom received from the Spirit and taught from the abundance of your heart. Instruct modern priests – those who preach Christ to others. Let them realize that their actions speak louder than any words they may use. Teach them to use their talents in conveying their God-given message but to rely above all on the promptings of the Spirit. Amen.

Lord, please penetrate the hearts of every priest with abundant grace, that they might serve the bride, the Church, in accord with the Father’s merciful will. Hold them steadfast on straight paths, that they always bring heaven’s light to the world and never scandal. Help them tend the entire flock with holy and wise angels, guarding them in their every way from every evil or temptation. Lead all priests and all souls ever to the eternal banquet of joy. Have mercy, Lord. Our Lady, angels, and saints, pray with us. Amen.

Praying for all priests and decons and bishops and cardinals and the Holy Father and an increase in vocations for priests.

Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name.
Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses,
As we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women
And blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God,
Pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit
as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be
world without end. Amen.

Oh my Jesus, forgive us our sins.
Save us from the fires of hell.
Lead all souls to heaven,
especially those most in need of Thy mercy.

O my dearest Jesus, I beg you to keep me strong and courageous, so that I can defend the Truth in Your Most Holy Name.

Give me the grace I need - I implore - to give testimony to Your Holy Word at all times.

Enable me to withstand the pressures to promote untruths, when I know in my heart that they offend You.

Help me to remain true to Your Holy Word until the day I die. Amen
