Pray for our priests!

I mean this should go without saying since most of the people here are Catholic but just in case you forgot. I actually work near a Walmart now if you don’t know what Walmart is because your country doesn’t have one don’t worry your country probably has the equivalent of one so I needed something to do for a little while and I went to walk around the store and I ran into a priest from a parish that is made up mostly of Irish Travellers, who are probably by far the most discriminated-against group where I live. anyway I talked to him I asked him his name and I know he is from India there seem to be a lot of priests from India relative to its Christian population which I think is great. Anyway pray for our priests especially those in a Ministry to groups that are considered by social outcasts. God bless!
 
Will do friend. Being married to an Irishman, I know all about the travellers.

Gracious and loving God, we thank your for the gift of our priests.
Through them, we experience your presence in the sacraments.

Help our priests to be strong in their vocation.
Set their souls on fire with love for your people.

Grant them the wisdom, understanding, and strength they need to follow in the footsteps of Jesus.
Inspire them with the vision of your Kingdom.

Give them the words they need to spread the Gospel.
Allow them to experience joy in their ministry.

Help them to become instruments of your divine grace.

I live near the largest Traveller community in the United States and I believe the largest one outside of The UK or Ireland. I mean it is bad when one of them commits a crime the newspapers and the local news make sure you know they are Irish Travellers they don’t do that for anyone else but them. I am not talking about the descriptions I’m talking about the court cases and everything. I think if I got arrested and I had a court case they wouldn’t say “guy with moustache” except for a description if I ran. I think that’s the main reason I want this guy to have prayers this because he is their pastor and I can only imagine how he gets treated and he’s not a Traveller they probably have great respect for him they do love their priests. I reiterate, pray for priests.

Lord, please grant our priests strength, wisdom and comfort as they bring us guidance and comfort. We love our priests and know that they suffer many hardships and make a lot of sacrifices in performing their priestly duties. In Your name we pray. Amen.
