I went to confession today and I know priest talk about the overflow of graces they receive from the graces bestowed on confessors but I am so thankful for these men and their decision to serve our Lord and Savior especially in the times we live.

Our Father, Who art in heaven,
Hallowed be Thy Name.
Thy Kingdom come.
Thy Will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil. Amen.

Hail Mary,
Full of Grace,
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit
of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of death.
Amen.

Glory be to the Father,
and to the Son,
and to the Holy Spirit.
As it was in the beginning,
is now,
and ever shall be,
world without end.
Amen.

St. Michael the Archangel,
defend us in battle.
Be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the Devil.
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray,
and do thou,
O Prince of the heavenly hosts,
by the power of God,
thrust into hell Satan,
and all the evil spirits,
who prowl about the world
seeking the ruin of souls. Amen…

Praying for all the Priests & Deacons of the world. Praying for an increase in vocations to the Priesthood & Diaconate.

Lord Jesus, You have chosen Your priests from among us
and sent them out to proclaim Your word
and to act in Your name.
For so great a gift to Your Church,
we give You praise and thanksgiving.
We ask You to fill them with the fire of Your love,
that their ministry may reveal Your presence in the Church.
Since they are earthen vessels,
we pray that Your power shine out through their weakness.
In their afflictions let them never be crushed;
in their doubts never despair;
in temptation never be destroyed;
in persecution never abandoned.

Inspire them through prayer
to live each day the mystery of Your dying and rising.
In time of weakness send them Your Spirit,
and help them to praise Your heavenly Father
and pray for poor sinners.
By the same Holy Spirit,
put Your word on their lips
and Your love in their hearts,
to bring good news to the poor
and healing to the brokenhearted.
And may the gift of Mary, Your mother,
to the disciple whom You loved,
be Your gift to every priest.
Grant that she who formed You in her human image,
may form them in Your Divine image,
by the power of Your Spirit,
to the glory of God the Father.

Amen.

O Mary conceived without sin,
pray for us who have recourse to you.

O Mary conceived without sin,
pray for us who have recourse to you.

O Mary conceived without sin,
pray for us who have recourse to you.

Lord, with gratitude we thank you for the gift of priests as they serve as your mediators, delivering to us grace through your promise. Embolden them always with grace for faith, hope, love, courage, wisdom, and joy. Lead them that they might lead us toward the eternal garden always. Have mercy, Lord. Our Lady, angels, and saints, pray with us. Amen.

Hail Mary full of grace the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

** Blessed Mother, please intercede for us.
Hold the sorrowful, strengthen the fearful,
mother and love the weary, abused, neglected
or forgotten among us,
give your aid to all needing help or healing,
assist those who are sick, in pain or suffering,
be with those needing peace,
console the lonely or brokenhearted,
comfort the lost or hopeless,
guard the unborn,
pray for those who are dying or who have died,
soften those with hardened hearts,
enlighten those who do not yet see truth,
help us be brave enough to let our hurt and anger go,
show us the way to do the right thing,
protect those who are in danger,
and guide us from every evil.
May all who keep your sacred commemoration
experience the might of your assistance.
Amen :gopray:**

Only women can give birth, and only men can become priests.
Blessed Mother, please open the hearts and minds of young men
to step up and fill the need, and become our priests.

A prayer for priests by John Cardinal O’Connor

Lord Jesus, we your people pray to You for our priests. You have given them to us for OUR needs. We pray for them in THEIR needs.

We know that You have made them priests in the likeness of your own priesthood. You have consecrated them, set them aside, anointed them, filled them with the Holy Spirit, appointed them to teach, to preach, to minister, to console, to forgive, and to feed us with Your Body and Blood.

Yet we know, too, that they are one with us and share our human weaknesses. We know too that they are tempted to sin and discouragement as are we, needing to be ministered to, as do we, to be consoled and forgiven, as do we. Indeed, we thank You for choosing them from among us, so that they understand us as we understand them, suffer with us and rejoice with us, worry with us and trust with us, share our beings, our lives, our faith.

We ask that You give them this day the gift You gave Your chosen ones on the way to Emmaus: Your presence in their hearts, Your holiness in their souls, Your joy in their spirits. And let them see You face to face in the breaking of the Eucharistic bread.

We pray to You, O Lord, through Mary the mother of all priests, for Your priests and for ours. Amen.
