Please, pray that the Holy Spirit guide and control my tongue today. The devil has been tempting me to sin against Charity and say inflamatory things to my neighbors (which is what they want). Please pray that my tongue and speech be circumcised. As I ask for your prayers, I will read what St. James wrote in Chapter 3 concerning uncontrolled speech!

I pray that the God of peace, who brought our Lord Jesus back from the dead to become the great Shepherd of the sheep by the blood that sealed an eternal covenant, may make you ready to do his will in any kind of good action; and turn us all into whatever is acceptable to himself through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory for ever and ever, Amen.
 
This is something I also have to deal with. There is a fine line between chatting about whats new and gossip. Afterwards, I feel awful. I will keep you in my prayers as I do for all CAF Prayer Intentions.

To nip this spirit in the " bud" I had to go to confession again, 2nd time in 4 days----quite a track record!).

I will keep praying for the grace of charity towards my enemies and the grace of forgiveness and mercy.

Hang in there Paul. The good Lord knows you’re trying, so don’t be so hard on yourself.

Father, please take hold of Paul’s tongue
and control his speech. Allow him to show
charity and grace as he speaks to others.
Guide him and all of us to speak only those
words that you wish to be heard.
Grant us strength as we struggle with those people
who try to push us over the edge. Help us Father.
We ask this in the name of Jesus.

That is something difficult to deal with, and I think most all people don’t know where chatting ends and gossip begins. God knows that I have encountered the same stumbling block. 😊

God our Father, Your Son said that “Out of the fullness of the heart the mouth speaks.” Help Your servant, Paul, to be observant of what he says in his day-to-day meetings with family, friends, and acquaintances. Do not let his tongue wag and speak ill of others, but let him speak of the Good News of Your mercy and forgiveness, which are available to all who seek these gifts from You.

Paul, I will keep this intention in prayer, and I ask that you will do the same for me. I let my tongue get the better of me much of the time, and sometimes I say things I wish I hadn’t. Hopefully, in lifting one another up in prayer, we can overcome this with the help of God’s grace.

Peace and all good be to you.
