Pray for severely beaten, broken, blind infant on feeding tube and ventilator

Hello. My cousin is fostering a baby rescued from an abusive situation. This baby has two young siblings who were abused, but their problems aren’t nearly as bad as the baby’s. One sibling has nightmares.

The baby, “Baby E”, was three months old at the time, and not even seven pounds. He suffered a shattered femur, broken skull, and was beaten BLIND. I think from what I gather, his retinas came detached. He has had trouble keeping his sodium and temperature where they should be. He has been on (and still is on) a feeding tube, and most recently, was put on a ventilator after a nurse found him blue, struggling to breathe. Since going on the ventilator, the doctors are saying he isn’t going to go home (to my cousin).

It is doubtful that Baby E has been baptized. I have given my cousin instructions on how to baptize himself, in case he could get an opportunity to do that.

This breaks my heart. I am surprised that he lived this long, and in the last month, there was a time when it looked like he was improving. But things have taken a turn for the worse, and I’ve only heard bad news since two Mondays ago.

I am praying for a miracle, and getting everyone I can, to pray. I sent him a green scapular to keep nearby, with a St. Benedict medal attached. Will you pray with me?

A sweet thing someone prayed once, was for Padre Pio to come be with the baby to play with him and watch over him. This little boy should be playing and exploring the world right now, and he’s stuck on two machines.

Please, God, answer our prayers for a miracle.

And could you maybe add some extra prayers for Baby E’s siblings, who have witnessed and experienced a lot of trauma themselves. Thank you.

i find these stories to be extremely disturbing and moving. How can someone do something as horrible as that? As a parent of a small child (and with a second one due in December) I find this beyond comprehension.

May God decide what is best for this terribly sinned-against little baby.
God please bring to light such abusers before they do such harm, or any harm.
Please protect children through the vigilance intervention of other around families where abuse is likely to occur.
I entreat You to save little ones and children from abuse, and ensure that anyone in an abuse situation is rescued/seeks rescue where possible.
Bless those who help them
and who care for them

Lord, have mercy on these children and their heartbreaking situation so far. Come and bring Your healing on such innocent children and bring hope and health. In the precious name of Jesus, amen.

I had to whipe away my tears before I could respond. Your cousin is a wonderful and loving person who cares so much for this child and for the other ones. God bless your cousin.
Father, baby “E” is in desperate need of your healing. You are the one who gives the power and the knowledge to the doctors and nurses to save lives. I ask that you give them the insite to save this little one from the problems that, by no fault of this child, this child has. Father, this I pray from the depth of my heart. I pray that Mary, your mother and the mother of all, be with this child, to wrap her loving motherly arms around this child and give this child the comfort that only a mother can give. Father I pray that you don’t take this child from loving people. I pray that you can use this child to help other children who have been a situation, to be a insperation to them, and to let them know that only through you was this baby able to live.
Father, I pray for the other children affected by this abuse that they fine comfort and understanding through you. Be with them during this time of suffering. Give them the strength to carry on and over come this tragity.
Father, I pray for all those affected by this that you give them comfort and understanding of what is going on. Be with them while they go through this pain that only a loving family can feel. Father, give them a special place in your heart because these are foster children and a family that takes care of them have nothing but love for children in them, just like you have nothing but love for us, your children.

I find this to be incredibly disturbing. How someone could possibly due something to an infant like that is just absolutely beyond me. Reading stuff like this just absolutely sickens me to my soul! :mad: The parent(s) responsible for this must be truly evil people for them to have done something like that. I wouldn’t doubt it if they aren’t possessed or something.
