Father full of tenderness and mercy, your Son gave us Mary to be our mother. At her request, he entrusted Laus to her so that it be the refuge of sinners. Your servant Benoîte welcomed the pilgrims and conducted them to the source of forgiveness and reconciliation. We pray to you with confidence so that she is soon beatified in order that Laus may emit a new light that will touch more hearts and guide still more sinners to you and that the graces of healing be accorded in abundance to the souls and to the bodies in praise of your love and of your glory. A little background information for those who aren’t aware of Our Lady of Laus. Benoite Rencurel was a 17th century French shepherdess who received visions of the Blessed Virgin Mary (and other saints) near Laus, France for a period of 54 years. She became a Dominican tertiary and was declared Venerable by Pope Benedict XVI in 2009. The church has approved of the visions.
