St. Michael the Archangel,
defend us in battle.
Be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the Devil.
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray,
and do thou,
O Prince of the heavenly hosts,
by the power of God,
thrust into hell Satan,
and all the evil spirits,
who prowl about the world
seeking the ruin of souls. Amen…

Holy Mother, please see to this and help the Synod Fathers be faithful to the Church’s teachings.

Hail Mary, full of grace.
Our Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb,
Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God,
pray for us sinners,
now and at the hour of our death.
Amen.

Lord, please guide this Church synod as you have done those preceding. Communicate through them much clarity and the brilliance of truth. Through the results of this synod, let souls be drawn to the eternal banquet of life. Permeate in all listeners of these results many graces for faith, hope, love, and joy. Send angels to guide the synod fathers and all the faithful and all souls. Have mercy, Lord. Our Lady, angels, and saints, pray with us. Amen.

And praying the Lord does His will, and not necessarily ours; and He grant us the wisdom to accept the outcome as His will. Amen.

God doesn’t will heresy to take place. I am praying however.

I know he doesn’t but I fear many who do not agree with the Synod will claim it is heresy.

It is either heresy or it isn’t, and if it contradicts the basic substance of the Church’s Msgisterium then it is heresy. So I am praying.

Reform is in the very DNA of the Church, so change does not always mean heresy.

Our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name.

Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.

And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

Amen.

Keeping the coming synod in my prayers to St. Philomena…

The St. Philomena Novena
Dearest St. Philomena, your prayers are powerful because you are so close to Our Lord. Your child-like faith and devotion are an inspiration to all of the faithful. Many miracles have occurred as a result of your intercession. In your closeness to Our Lord, please lift up these my intentions in prayer…

St. Philomena, at such a young age, you gave everything to Jesus to become a consecrated virgin for the Kingdom. Giving even more, you gave your life as you suffered a martyr’s death to preserve your gift to our Lord. Pray for me, that I might have the same faith and willingness to accept God’s will no matter the cost.

Amen.

St. Philomena, pray for us!

Prayer for the Protection of the Church

O glorious St. Michael, guardian and defender of the Church of Jesus Christ, come to the assistance of the Church, against which the powers of hell are unchained, guard with special care for her august Head, and obtain that for him and for us the hour of triumph may speedily arrive.

**Prayer for the Pope **

Lord, source of eternal life and truth, give to Your shepherd Francis a spirit of courage and right judgement, a spirit of knowledge and love. By governing with fidelity those entrusted to his care may he, as successor to the apostle Peter and vicar of Christ, build Your Church into a sacrament of unity, love, and peace for all the world.

We ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ, Your Son, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God for ever and ever. Amen.
