Pray for the repose of my grandfather's soul

At 8:00pm, Saturday October 6th, my grandfather went to the House of the Lord.

Lord God,
to your mercy we owe our forgiveness and salvation.
Grant that your servant who has departed from this life,
may be admitted into
everlasting happiness
through the intercession of the
Blessed Virgin Mary
and all of your saints.
We ask this in the name of Jesus.

Jen, I don’t know if it was coincidence or not, but last night about 7 pm Central time, I was walking over to my MIL’s house for supper, and I thought about your Grandfather, and I said a Chaplet of Divine Mercy for him. I firmly believe that he was surrounded by prayers, even here in Iowa, at the time of his death. I’ll pray for him and your family at mass today, and you are all in my rosary intentions today, too.

Lord of all mercy, look with love upon the soul of Jennifer’s Grandfather. May your gracious mercy be with him and upon him throughout eternity. Allow your comforting peace to be with his family and loved ones as they share their hope in Christ. We humbly ask that your heavenly graces be poured out upon his wife of those many years, allowing her grief to be tempered by increasing faith in your mercy. We ask this through Christ, our Lord, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, One God for ever and ever, Amen.
