Pray for the True Meaning of Christmas

I know as I go into the “home stretch” before the holidays the tasks, the obligations, problems and life can get in the way of preparation for this wonderful holiday. As we are almost halfway through Advent, I ask that we pray to abolutely embrace the true meaning of Christmas and each find our own way to say no, say yes or say “Thank You and I am Yours - please remain uppermost in my words and actions in order that I may prepare a fitting and holy home for You when You arrive this sacred Christmas day.”
 
Almighty Eternal Loving Father, in the Holy Precious Name of Jesus and thru the Comforting Presence of Holy Spirirt, I ask that You instill in my heart and the hearts of all Christians everywhere the True meaning of CHRISTmas, the Birth of our Saviour, and cleanse me and all Christians everywhere from allowing ourselves to be caught up in the secular world’s outlook during this Holy Season.
Father, help us not to have an attitude of “buymas”, or “memas”, but truly heartfelt Peace, Joy, Love, Thankfulness, Worship, Praise and Adoration of and for JESUS, the true and only reason we celebrate CHRISTmas, and I pray that we would keep this in our hearts and minds every day of the year.

I pray for all Christians, that we may all open our hearts to recieve and focus on the TRUE meaning of CHRISTmas.

As we approach the birth our Savior, may all men, woman and children be touched by the Lord and the birth of His Son, Christ Jesus.

Totally surprised to find this year probably for the first time cheap nativity type Christmas cards with a lovely spiritual message…and on TV the shops are reporting totally unanticipated high sales (asking restocking) of nativity scenes and statues, statuettes. Hoping that our society is waking up that Jesus really is the reason for the season and wanting to keep Christ in Christmas.

Yes,thank you for beautiful prayer,I am a little saddened,as I drive through neighborhoods in my general area,I count and have my sister doing the same,how many families with all their over the top decorations and so very,very little NATIVITY scene’s that are in peoples front yards,I pray for our neighborhoods,the families inside,that they know the real reason for Christmas/
