I have a close family member…

Her husband was caught by a pedophile creepcatcher. He was fired from his job, but not arrested and it wasn’t made very public. She kicked him out, because she had 6 of her eight kids still at home.

Since then, she’s moved, because he poisoned many of the parishoners who don’t know the entire story. He moved in with one of the parishoners. He even lied to the priest, as she found out when she had a conversation with him. But the priest is still meeting with him and getting him involved with some things of the church. There is no doubt about the husband’s actions. I saw the text string between him and a 14-year-old boy. It was on the creepcatcher’s site, along with the video of him getting caught, but taken down a few weeks later.

I’m asking for prayers for her and her family. She is in a deep depression, won’t leave her room most of the time, I understand from her eldest daughter, who she’s now living with.
One of her daughters is now hanging with some bad people and is using drugs (Molly and cocaine) Her youngest, a boy only 10, found some of his dad’s porn on a tablet, and is now watching porn all the time. She found him watching it, and it answered the question why her son was in his room quiet for much of the day, instead of being the friendly, happy boy who was always outside playing.

All of the kids have been affected and are suffering. I can’t bring myself to talk to the father, because from what I’ve heard (talking to his sister) he is not repentant at all, and blames his wife for his bad behavior and things done in the past to him. He still continues to be an admired member of his church community.

It’s like Satan took this family and is shaking them like a ragdoll.

They need prayers. I pray everyday for them, but I think more prayer is needed.

If you have concrete information about him being a pedophile you MUST inform the parish priest and the Diocese immediately. I trust that law enforcement knows about this already?
If not, call them NOW.
This cannot wait.
It is imperative that he NOT be permitted to volunteer in that parish.

I agree. This is a must. In the meantime, I will pray for him and the family.

There can be no charity for pedophiles…
At least make sure the parish priest keeps him away from children (sounds like there may not be sufficient evidence for a conviction…)
How did he get thru Virtus - or is that just here in the Richmond diocese?
Praying it can be ended peacefully and quietly for the families sake.

Absolutely. It comes under the “Safe Environment” process.
Praying for this family.

She did inform the priest, of course.
He has all the information that she has.

Unfortunately, the way that this group works, in the end, it’s almost impossible to arrest them. The alleged “14 year old” was actually an adult posing as one, so in this circumstance, there is no evidence of pandering or actual activity. The police are aware of this man now though, which is good. However, until this man is caught red-handed or a child comes forth to complain, he can walk.

And I have NO idea why the priest is doing this. The man is working now in their soup kitchen, which feeds the homeless in the area, so there are no youth, just primarily men who are down on their luck.

So, we have to pray for two things in this situation. That the man becomes repentent (which he isn’t apparently) or that a boy who has been handled by this man comes forward to make a complaint.

His father did the same thing. He sexually abused all of his daughters, and a downs syndrome girl from their parish. AND NO ONE did a thing (other than banish him from the family) . He died completely free of charges. And when I confronted him, he said, “I went to confession. I’ve been forgiven by God. So you have to forgive me too.”

Sick. What I am most worried about is the third generation - and the little boy who is now addicted to porn. Has anyone ever heard of Generational curses or Healing the Family Tree? I think it’s relevant in this case.

What PC said. And I would have taken the laptop away from the 10 yr old and accidently dropped it. Preferably out a 10 story window. Peace and prayers for the family.
P. S. Actually the laptop should be considered as evidence.

Part of Safe Environment training whether you use VIRTUS or any other program, is the notion that Children and VULNERABLE adults are to be protected.
The homeless constitute vulnerable persons.
If it were me, I would still report it to the Diocese.
They will investigate, If it’s nothing, then it’s nothing. But they need to know, and your conscience will be clear.

Saint Michael, the archangel, defend us in battle, be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil, may God rebuke him, we humbly pray. And do you, O’ Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God thrust into Hell Satan and all the other evil spirits who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls.

Amen.

Our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name.

Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.

And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.

Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb Jesus.

Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death.

Amen.

Dear Jesus,

I humbly implore you to grant your special graces to our family. May our home be the shrine of peace, purity, love, labor and faith. I beg you, dear Jesus, to protect and bless all of us, absent and present, living and dead.

O Mary,

Loving Mother of Jesus, and our Mother, pray to Jesus for our family, for all the families of the world, to guard the cradle of the newborn, the schools of the young and their vocations.

Blessed Saint Joseph,

holy guardian of Jesus and Mary, assist us by your prayers in all necessities of life. Ask of Jesus that special grace which he granted to you, to watch over our home at the pillow of the sick and the dying, so that with Mary and with you, Heaven may find our family unbroken in the sacred Heart of Jesus.

Amen.

We come to you, O blessed Joseph, in our sore distress. Having sought the aid of your most blessed spouse, we now confidently implore thy assistance also. We humbly beg that, mindful of the dutiful affection that bound you to the immaculate Virgin Mother of God, and of the fatherly love with which you cherish the Child Jesus, you will lovingly watch over the heritage that Jesus Christ purchased with His blood, and by your powerful intercession help us in our urgent need.

Most powerful guardian of the Holy Family, protect the chosen race of Jesus Christ; drive far from us, most loving father, every pest of error and corrupting sin. From your place in heaven, most powerful protector, graciously come to our aid in this conflict with the power of darkness, and as of old you delivered the Child Jesus from supreme peril of life, so now defend the holy Church of God from the snares of her enemies and from all adversity.

Have each of us always in your keeping, that, following your example, and borne up by your strength, we may be able to live holy, die happy, and so enter the everlasting bliss of heaven.

Amen.

St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle.
Be our safeguard against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him we humbly pray, and do Thou, O Prince of the heavenly host, by the power of God, cast into hell satan and all the evil spirits that roam around the world seeking the ruin of souls,
Amen

Oh Lord, it’s been said that Satan’s final attack would be on the family, and it is. Father Almighty, our Creator and Dad, have mercy on this particular family and draw them near to you. Free that young boy from the new drug he’s found, before it’s too late - open his father’s eyes to the evil that’s taken his soul. Wipe away the confusion and the hurt that’s misted this entire drama over, and please, Lord, shine Your glorious light onto it all. Your will be done, oh merciful God. Amen.

St. Thérèse of Liseux Prayer From “Story of A Soul”

May today there be peace within.
May you trust God that you are exactly where you are meant to be.
May you not forget the infinite possibilities that are born of faith.
May you use those gifts that you have received,
and pass on the love that has been given to you.
May you be content knowing you are a child of God.
Let this presence settle into your bones,
and allow your soul the freedom to sing, dance, praise, and love.
It is there for each and every one of us.

Amen.

Lord, thank you that you are with me right now.
Your love surpasses all fear.
I give you the anxiety I feel.
I surrender all my worries to you.
Clear my mind;
Calm my heart;
Still my Spirit;
Relax my being, that, I may
always glorify you in everything
I write, speak and do.

Amen.

Jesus, Help Me

In every need let me come to Thee with humble trust, saying,
Jesus, help me!

In all my doubts, perplexities, and temptations,
Jesus, help me!

In hours of loneliness, weariness and trials,
Jesus, help me!

In the failure of my plans and hopes; in disappointments, troubles and sorrows,
Jesus, help me!

When my heart is cast down by failure, at seeing no good come from my efforts,
Jesus, help me!

When others fail me, and Thy grace alone can assist me,
Jesus, help me!

When I throw myself on Thy tender love as Father and Savior,
Jesus, help me!

When I feel impatient, and my cross irritates me,
Jesus, help me!

When sickness and loneliness overcome me,
Jesus, help me!

Always, in weakness, falls and shortcomings of every kind,
Jesus, help me and never forsake me.

Thank You, dear Lord Jesus.

Amen.

Sweet Heart of Jesus, be my love.
Sweet Heart of my Jesus, grant that I may always love You more.
Heart of Jesus, burning with love for us, set our hearts on fire with love of You.
Jesus, meek and humble of heart, make our hearts like Your Heart.

Amen.

Prayers said. All will be well. Do not fear, the Lord is protecting you.
Do not be lonely, your guardian angel is beside you.
Be comforted, Mother will watch over you, and the
Holy Spirit will guide you.

Amen.

Prayer Against Depression
………….By St Ignatius of Loyola

O Christ Jesus
When all is darkness
And we feel our weakness and helplessness,
Give us the sense of Your Presence,
Your Love and Your Strength.
Help us to have perfect trust
In Your protecting love
And strengthening power,
So that nothing may frighten or worry us,
For, living close to You,
We shall see Your Hand,
Your Purpose, Your Will through all things.

Amen.

Let Nothing Disturb You

Let nothing disturb you,
Let nothing frighten you,
All things are passing away:
God never changes.

Patience,
Obtains all things,
Whoever has God
Lacks nothing:
God alone suffices.

Santa Teresa de Jesús
(Santa Teresa de Ávila)

Amen.

**
My Jesus,
I believe that You are
present in the Most Holy Sacrament.
I love You above all things, and
I desire to receive You into my soul.
**Since I cannot at this moment receive
You sacramentally, come at least spiritually
into my heart. I embrace You
as if You were already there and
unite myself wholly to You.
Never permit me to be separated
from You.

Amen.

Piarist fathers have taught this short act of
Spiritual Communion, popularized by St. Josemaria Escriva:

I wish, Lord, to receive You with the purity, humility and
devotion with which Your most holy Mother received You, with the
spirit and fervour of the saints.

Amen.

**
Thank You dear Lord Jesus, always and
everywhere, for everything.

Amen.

† **

Jesus, I trust in You.

Amen.

**O glorious St. Paul,
who from a persecutor of Christianity,
did become a most ardent apostle of zeal;
and who to make known the Saviour Jesus Christ
to the ends of the world did suffer with joy imprisonment,
scourging, stonings, shipwrecks
and persecutions of every kind,
and in the end did shed your blood to the last drop,
obtain for us the grace to receive,
as favours of the Divine Mercy,
infirmities, tribulations,
and misfortunes of the present life,
so that the vicissitudes of this our exile
will not render us cold in the service of God,
but will render us always more faithful and fervent.

Amen.**
