*pray for vocations*

this is really a question as such it is more of a request…

i keep reading that the church is short of priests, getting less vocations etc…

so what i am going to do and what i am asking you all to do is to pray

for an increase of vocations in the roman catholic church
to the priesthood, to the religious life, to the missionary life, in every country in the world…

include it as an intention in your morning offering prayers then everything of that day will be offered for it…(maybe by the end of the day your offering could help god to make a new priest,religious etc by helping them recognise in their hearts their vocation)

you could say

eternal father, through the immaculate herat of mary and also through her prayers and intercession i offer you the bitter passion, the agonising death, the holy wounds and the precious blood of our lord jesus christ for:-
for an increase of vocations in the roman catholic church to the priesthood, to the religious life, to the missionary life, in every country in the world…

if you want to say prayers like hail mary etc
you could say jesus, through the immaculate heart of mary and also through her prayers and intercession i now pray and offer to you ( name prayers) for :- for an increase of vocations in the roman catholic church to the priesthood, to the religious life, to the missionary life, in every country in the world…

remember …no priests…no mass and no eucharist…
think what disasters would have come upon us if we hadn’t had the constant prayers of religious communities constantly praying for us all…
if we haven’t got missionaries think about those who will never learn about jesus, and who will never receive the help that missionaries give to improve their life, education health etc…

i am going to pray for this from now on…maybe if we all did it and got others to do it the church would get a big boom in vocations…remember with praying…alot of the time we don’t get if we don’t ask because of free will…
and we will be granted it because asking god to give more priests, religious, and missionaries to the church won’t be against his will…we aren’t forcing anyone in to it…we are just praying for it …god himself chooses those who he wants to have the vocations(he has probably already chosen them but he needs people to pray so that those chosen may realise their vocation and have the courage to say yes to god

Just two weeks ago, we celebrated Vocations Sunday aka Good Shepherd Sunday. One priest suggested that an informal poll was taken by the ordained about if they were ever approached by anyone to consider the priesthood or diaconate.
And the answer was overwhelmingly yes and for some, they said had they not been asked, they may never have approached the idea let alone pursue it.

So not only should we be praying for vocations, but also asking our faithful men/even boys…have you considered the priesthood or the diaconate/brotherhood…And in turn ask our young women if they have ever considered the religious life.

That’s something I am now trying myself.

we should all have eucharistic adoration…it has been proven that when you bring Jesus into the mix you get more priest more holiness and grace

I know this is an old thread

But I’m bumping it because this is one of my new years resolutions for my prayer life and also because I thought others may want to pray it too
