God does not punish you or get angry at you
for your smoking, as an ex-smoker myself,
I see other smokers and am GRIEVED at
their flagrant abuse of their bodies by smoking
so much! So God is SAD that you are addicted
to the cigarettes and He is waiting for you to
WAKE UP and humbly admit that you need to
quit and live healthier!!!

From the stench of smoke, the foul taste in my mouth, the stains on my hands and teeth, pray for my release.

Several yearsago my sister died of lung cancer – she had smoked from the time she was a teenager till she was diagnosed. There is no cigarette that’s worth what my sister went through. I live close to a couple of high schools and when I drive by these schools I can’t believe the number of young people out in front of the schools smoking. Also I sometimes watch old movies on the Turner Movie Classics channel and in these old movies most of the people are smoking --of course, this was prior to when they learned that smoking is BAD for your health.

Praying to St Michael helped me quit. I highly recommend that and the rosary.
We, my husband and I, quit cold turkey March 1. I was 13 when I started and I was nearly 39 when I quit. I averaged 2+ packs a day. The first 3-4 days was the hardest for me, the following 2 weeks easier, and now I just have occasional psychological cravings that pass within moments.
