Hey mate thnks for your honesty:thumbsup:

its a shame about the girl but you did the right thing by being honest with her because any relationship based on lies would not be a healthy one. I have struggled with addiction ( not porn ) and after seeking help i am now in recovery for 8 years and i do not miss the hollow feeling that addiction gave me for a second. I would reccommend several things: try and find a twelve step fellowship like SLAA and just keep on being honest about your struggles. If you slip up once or twice ( and most people do ) just keep trying. Addiction is a disease so dont be hard on yourself. You can take great pride in the fact that you are seeking out help and most important of all look to God to fill that empty void we find inside us when we put down our unhealthy behaviour. Freedom from addiction is given to us on a daily basis and is a gift we need to nurture in order to keep it.

i wish you all the best:)
Praying for you.

:blessyou:

i share in your suffering and i pray you get the relief you need to be free from this addiction as i do for myself as well

St. Michael ArchAngel protect our brother and keep him safe from Satan’s power. Pray that he may be given the strength to overcome his temptation.

Sorry to hear that, I’ll pray for you also.

As it is now, I’m back at Day 1 again. Was struggling in recent days, and eventually led to 2 falls today. Still managed 4 days (nearly 5) without one though, stumbles not withstanding.

I can attest to this. WOW! can I.
I used to have the same issues as ajk. I even went 6 months without falling. I was doing great. Then, one Sunday I went to Mass, and there was an infant baptism that day. NEVER have I ever been so filled with the experience and understand of LOVE, and God’s Love for us…2 hours later - WHAM! I felt horrible afterward.
I can definitely relate to that feeling. There have been moments where I’ll get these little mini revelations, like once I was falling and I came across a site that involved taking advantage of a young woman’s pregnancy for sex and money. That hit me hard, as I thought about it after the fact. I thought those sort of things would help change me, but time and again I’d still end up going back at some point.

I only just a few months ago with the (help of God and our Blessed Mother), unattached myself from the lures and temptations of Pornography.

I can say that pornography isn’t something that can be cured overnight. However it did happen to me. In only a brief moment God helped me to overcome addictions to pornography, videogames and masturbation. I’m still no saint but what helps me to overcome these temptations is to prayer as much as i can. Because one things for sure, once you submit to pornography all God’s graces leave you. You become your own prison, and it feels terrifying at times.

But i repeat pray, pray, and pray.

this prayer will help,

(sign of the cross)
O Heavenly Father,
have mercy on me your lowly servant,
bring me out of the depths of this darkness which binds me,
and which causes me so much suffering.
My body which should have been respected and remained holy has been defiled by the lures and temptations of pornography,
o how i cry out to thee O Lord,
purify me with your blood that was spilt out for all,
sanctify me with your Holy Spirit,
pour onto me you ocean of mercy.
As of today, I consecrate my self to your Sacred Heart,
which takes away my pain,
brings me joy,
and makes me anew.
Blessed Mother, Queen of Virgin’s
Pray for me and guide me to your Son, Christ Jesus.

Lord Jesus I flee to thee,
Bring me Peace and wipe away my tears,
give me the strength to resist that helpless creature, the devil
grant me everything that brings me closer to you and take away everything that distances myself from you.
I pray this with confidence to the Father in Heaven,
(pray the ‘Our Father’)
(Say three Hail Mary’s)
(Glory Be)
Oh my Jesus, Forgive us our sins, save us from the fires of hell, and lead all souls to heaven, especially those in most need of thy mercy. Amen

The greatest error a person can make is thinking that his or her sins are to great for God to forgive. Jesus took on all sins because His sacrifice was greater than all the sins of the past, present and future.

Remeber,
‘Do not be afraid.’

I feel as though I don’t care right now about stopping this, even if it’s doing me no good. I want it so badly, that it doesn’t even stop me, and I could seem to care less. It’s all about getting that fix like a druggie.
