Pray that I will be forgiven

Please pray for me, because if I’m not forgiven for something I said I’m going to be in a lot of trouble. Also pray for the person I said it to, especially that they will not lose their Catholic faith because a Catholic (me) said it.

I’m not sure Lord what is going on here, but You do. So I commit this situation in Your care and ask that all these things will work together for the good. Amen.

The Lord is our model. Forgive to be forgiven. Ask in this light. I pray that God guides you.

Almighty and loving Father, I thank you for giving St. Gerard to us as a most appealing model and powerful friend. By his example, he showed us how to love and trust you. You have showered many blessings on those who call upon him. For your greater glory and my welfare, please grant me the favors which I ask in his name.

That Dawn Treader is forgiven his folly, and suffers no ill consequences for what he has done. And that the person of Dawn Treader’s acquaintance is not lead astray, but has his faith in Christ and the Church He started strengthened.

And you, my powerful patron, intercede for me before the throne of God. Draw near to that throne and do not leave it until you have been heard. O good saint, to you I address my feverent prayers; graciously accept them and let Dawn Treader experience in some way the effects of your powerful intercession. Amen.

Praying that your friend forgives you and has compassion. May your friend’s faith not be effected by what you said. May your friend’s and your prayers and your worthy reception of the sacraments help you both get past this bad experience. Amen.

O God, mercy and forgiveness
are Yours by nature and by right.
Receive our humble petitions.
Though we are bound tightly by the chain of our sins,
set us free by the power of Your great mercy.
