Pray to overcome sin

Hi everyone this is my 1st post on here. Please for give me if it`s kind of long.

My name is Paul, i`m 18 and need as much prayers as I can get.

1st I would like to tell my story.

          I`m cradle catholic, I love my christian faith more than anything(always have) and try to live it as best I can daily. before I turned 17 I was pretty sinful, most of the sin`s I`ve done I didn`t know they were bad until I was winessed to by an evanglical friend who just got saved. He was telling me for months that things I did were sinful but I tried to go around it.
Before christmas I started to rethink alot of what he said to me and It truly changed my life, I was much more respectful to my family, friends, I stopped lying,cursing,cheating,etc. It was great, but my main problem was I ve had an addiction to Porn and Masterbation for years. So when I tried to stop sinning it was hard not to do these things, so I got K9 web protection(highly recommended). I made promises to God that I wouldnt do these things again but I keep doing them and I hate it.I stop for about a month but just had too strong an urge to masterbate so I sadly did, now for a few days it seems the temptation is still kind of strong. I have been doing so good my good lifestyle was a great witness to the people in school,work home, everywhere and now I feel horrible.

Please pray that the Lord will have mercy on me and keep me good and for give me of my sins.

Also, that I stop sinning altogether.

Lord, Rock 777 is being tested and finds himself helpless when it comes to certain temptations and sins that were habits of his for a long time. May Rock777 know that he can get over these violent temptations by going to Confession whenever he sins (the culpability of his sins, I imagine, would be diminished seeing he still is suffering from addiction); receiving You in the Blessed Sacrament as frequently as possible; recognizing his** total** dependence on You alone; and developing a deeper prayer life. Now You are calling him to be purified of all his old bad habits and calling him to a deeper prayer life - a life in union with You supported by spending time alone with You. This purification hurts and leaves Rock 777 feeling helpless. Grant Rock777 perseverence, a good confessor, and good spiritual books that he can read on chastity. You are calling Rock777 to a deeper prayer life and want him all for yourself and want him purified of all the junk that was in his life before his conversion. That is why he is suffering so. May he break contact with all that is not of You and trust that You will see him to days where he is free from his addictions. May he keep wanting to be faithful should he ever sin again, and turn immediately to You with a contrite heart and a firm resolution not to sin again. I trust he can get through this if he only recognizes how helpless he is without grace - graces he will receive through prayer and the sacaments. Amen.

Thanks alot guys for these wonderful prays, Its good to know theres people out there who care so much about others to pray for them,I know its only been a day but your prays helped me feel more at peace and I seem to have more strength.

God bless you for wishing to live a Christly life. I ask You, Jesus, to help Paul to live a good Catholic, Sacramental life. Please help him to be faithful, and to avoid sin, but growing in holiness.

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ

I thank you all truly for your prays and I ask the Lord to bless you and guide you in your lives.

Since I started this thread I have been much doing better( thanks to your prayers). I still struggle from time to time tempted to surf the web for sinful websites but, that k9 web protection is impossible to get past( from what I can see) it blocks everything.

I was wondering if I tried to look up sinful sites is that a sin itself?
