Jesus said we should pray always, the Pope said. It is the strength that sustains our faith in difficult moments; even in our moments of fatigue and discouragement, God hears us. The Pope spoke much in terms of the Bible, as when he recalled the story of the unjust judge who finally helps the widow because her continual pleas. “How much more will God, who is a good and just father, make justice for those elect who cry out to Him day and night?” And he went to the example of Jesus, who prayed and cried out to the Father at times of trial.
