Greetings to my CAF friends!
Some of you may know about my mother being in ICU.
Thanks for your much needed prayers and please continue to lift her up.
I flew to CA to be on my mother’s bed side last weekend. With tubes all over her body, mother is suffering big time. It was indeed a very miserable sight. Different specialists came in to check on her. One doctor said it would take a miracle for her recovery.
However, what matters is not what the doctor said, what matters is what God said. God said “I am the Lord who heals you.”
We have four sisters in the family, three Catholics and one Protestant. We prayed in agreement for our mother’s recovery. The three of us said many Rosaries and Chaplet of Divine Mercy. We also prayed the St. Bridget’s prayer. I could actually **feel **the power of prayer when those vocal prayers were said non stop.
We literally prayed without ceasing - one rosary after another, one chaplet after another, nonstop all the time. And my mother’s previously abnormal vital signs went back to normal – her heart beating, breath rate, lung, liver and kidney functions, all improved, back to normal range. The power of prayer happened in front of our eyes, on the screen of the monitor.
After Sunday evening Mass, the priest came to visit. Even though my mother is a Protestant, Father still kindly gave her the anointing of the sick. He prayed and then asked if any of us could pray in tongue. My protestant sister, the priest and I prayed in tongues. I have never used my tongue in public before. I was shy about it. It is comforting to find out that my tongue is almost exactly the same as the priest’s. That was amazing.
It is so precious that we Catholics are given the prayers such as rosary and chaplet of divine mercy. That is the only way we can literally pray without ceasing, especially for the case of urgent healing prayers. It will be very hard to use our own words to pray every single minute. Thank God for Catholic prayers. I experienced many of God’s grace lately.
My mother is still in ICU, still fighting, please pray for her. I believe my mother will walk out of the hospital sound. I have to walk by faith not by sight. I am professing my faith.
