Prayer and advice needed

I am going through a major health battle and sometimes deal with depression because of it. In the middle of this I need to make a big decision and at the moment the smallest of decisions are difficult. This is a work/career related decision and I am asking for prayers that I make the right one.

Any advice on making decisions during times of struggle is also welcome!!

I do want to say that through all of this I thank God that my marriage has remained strong and my family intact!!
 
The only advice that I can honestly say has worked for me is found in the Rosary.Praying the Rosary and meditation on the mysteries of the Rosary has helped me over the years during difficult times. The Blessed Mother will help you. She and Jesus also had difficult times, during there time on earth. I will say a prayer that Our Lady will send you the grace and help that you need.

Pray the Rosary, it has done miracles in my life. Read the psalms and write in a journal the verses that inspire you. Write them over and over until they become part of you. Look into Father Francis Solanus Casey’s Life, it is inspiring!!!

May the Lord your God bless you, guide you and protect you!!! The light and Wisdom of your God will direct you into the correct place. Trust in Him blindly 👍
 
Pray for patience.
Offer your sickness to Jesus for sinners.
Eat chicken soup.
 
Praying for the Holy Spirit to guide you in making your decision and praying for your return to good health!
 
Praying the Rosary, has always helped me because Our Blessed Mother will not let you down.

Place yourself in the arms of the Good Shepherd, nearest His Heart, He will never hold you and comfort you.
 
Dear Catholicgagirl’s guardian angel, please enlighten catholicgagirls mind and help her make the right career decision. Enlighten and guard, rule and guide her. Ask our Heavenly Father to send His Holy Spirit to her to help her with her depression. May she find peace and comfort in knowing that she has the Holy Spirit, a guardian angel and a loving Mother who all intercede for her on her behalf along with the saints. May she choose the most charitable way of life for a lifestyle and be prudent in making the decision she needs to make. May whatever choice brings her a greater peace and love for You be her final decision. Amen.
 
The first thing I wanted to do is to give a hug.

I ask You, God, to please help our new friend to better health, and to overcome the depression and apathy that sometimes goes with illness as the whole system is compromised.

Trust, I think. I ask God to guide you to quite simply make the right choice and trust that whatever it is, He will work with you.

Once when I was struggling with a decision, I wrote the following.

Seeking God’s will

Dear God, You see me anxious about discerning the right course, and then my subsequent doubts. I fear that if I misconstrue Your will, someone may be denied what You would delight to give through me.

I trust that whatever good I honestly attempt will be guided and transformed by You, regardless of my obvious failures. Perhaps when I die, I may discover that my present life hides the overflowing richness of Your love embracing others through my efforts and prayers.

Accept my gift of myself to You. Temper my faith and faithfulness in Your love within the events of my life. Burn away my sinfulness and apathy through daily responsibility and prayer. Heal my confusion and stress. Let everything for which You created me, be completely fulfilled. Worship and delight Yourself in my life.

If you are going through a major health crisis, you could take family medical leave so you can deal with your illness…I have no idea what illness you have or what kind of job but this is a suggestion…anyway…“Jesus, please help catholicgagirl during her time of illness and struggles, let her know that you are there for her, always guiding her in the right decisions and let her feel your loving and healing touch, Thank you ,Lord Jesus”…God bless you, catholicgagirl…

Prayer for the Gifts of the Holy Spirit
Holy Spirit, divine Consoler, I adore You as my true God, with God the Father and God the Son. I adore You and unite myself to the adoration You receive from the angels and saints.

I give You my heart and I offer my ardent thanksgiving for all the grace which You never cease to bestow on me.

O Giver of all supernatural gifts, who filled the soul of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of God, with such immense favors, I beg You to visit me with Your grace and Your love and to grant me the gift of holy fear, so that it may act on me as a check to prevent me from falling back into my past sins, for which I beg pardon.

Grant me the gift of piety, so that I may serve You for the future with increased fervor, follow with more promptness Your holy inspirations, and observe your divine precepts with greater fidelity.

Grant me the gift of knowledge, so that I may know the things of God and, enlightened by Your holy teaching, may walk, without deviation, in the path of eternal salvation.

Oh Holy Spirit, Counselor to all counselors, please fill this woman the wisdom and knowledge to make decisions that will coincide with the future God has planned for her. Guide her on the path to making choices that will be in her best interests and in the interests of God the Father. Amen.

Continue to pray, and remember: if He leads you to it, He’ll lead you through it. Place your trust completely in Him, and you will find a way. Whenever I’m stressed and depressed, I find it incredibly helpful to focus on Jesus and His suffering. He bore the guilt of sin for all of humanity; I can’t imagine a depression deeper than that. Remember the LORD’s strength and ask Him to lend some of it to you in your time of need.

Lord, please help this person in their struggles. In particular, Lord, make Your Holy Spirit come into their minds and hearts, that they may know Your Will for them more clearly, and may make any further major decisions accordingly. Through Jesus Christ, Our Lord, I pray. Amen.
