well, i beleive god hears all prayers. I used to think that people who did really bad sins would not get their prayers answered, but alas, they do.
So sin really has no bearing on if God will answer prayers.
The fact that you still feel compelled to pray is indicative that God’s grace is still at work in you.
A person who has depleted and eroded all trace of Grace from their soul by means of a continuous life of sin - developes tendencies of desperation, hopelessness and ultimately suicide. They no longer believe in God’s forgiveness.
Confession is the inexhaustible source of renewable grace! Grace is necessary for there to be repentance.
