Prayer Cards

I was just wondering how many of you use prayer cards and how and when do you use them.
Also, how do you organize them?

I have a few that I’ve collected from various places. I don’t know that I actually “use” them. I have laminated them (Santa brought me a laminating machine last Christmas). Some are stuck inside the cover of the magazine that I use for daily Mass (Living with Christ) and some are taped to my computer at school or around my desk area. And some make pretty decent bookmarks.

I’m curious to see other answers to your question.

I use them. I have 2 sets, one for the bag in my purse with my rosary, and another set by my computer with my home rosary. The prayer cards are a great focus tool.

Usually, I pray with the prayer cards after praying the rosary, depending on my day. If I’m busy, I’ll pray with the prayer cards on the go. I have a little ledge on my car’s dashboard, I prop the card up, and don’t have to take my eyes off the road, or other drivers. Or, I put them in my pocket, and whenever I have a spare moment, I’ll take one out.

Organize? Hmmm, well, I do like to put both sets in the same order. Other than that, I really have no special way to organize them.

I use them, sometimes. Mostly for seasonal novenas. Example, I will be saying a Novena to St. Patrick around March 17th. :shamrock2: I love certain feasts of Our Lady, too… and will often say those Novena’s… using prayer cards.

I keep a lot of my prayer cards out… where I can see them. I especially love the ones of the saints. Because it gives me a feeling of “family”. Just like you’d set out photo’s of your own family. I use prayer cards the same way.

I have them kind of scattered around. On tables, or windowsills. Like you would with photographs. I have even put some in little picture frames… so they will stand up better.

I make a book out of my prayer cards. I use a hole puncher, make a hole in top corner and bottom corner and use the rings to hold them together…perfect book and I can just flip through them.

Make sense? If not, I’ll take a picture (if I can figure that out)

Yes, I can see that. I actually made one for my son with only one hole so he can look at them at mass. He is 18 months.
These ideas are great.
