mom/4 - you are SO good for me… thanks for that encouragement/reminder! I dont prey for long periods of time - but I dont go long a time without praying… make sense?
Prayer can simply be recognizing that you are not praying enough. That is a prayer.

I failed AGAIN yesterday. I DID start my rosary early in the day though - and asked God to please allow me the mental reminders to say TWO complete rosaries - to make up for the lost one the day before…

Jezu - you bless me! B/c of this thread, like you - I am much more mindful of praying… so I dont feel like a failure.

Paulah - just last night I had a priest remind me that although formal prayer is nice, God likes it when we just talk to him througout the day. If you don’t have time to say a whole rosary, don’t beat yourself up. The point is to try and communicate with Him frequently. It can be as simple as “Please help me with my children,” or “help me be patient in this situation.” I doubt that you “failed.” Once again, be sure to give yourself credit for all of the “little” prayers you say throughout the day.
 
It helps me to say the rosary if I use a rosary booklet that has the pictures and spiritual gifts for each mistery. I need something to help me rest on one thought and that seems to help. Otherwise I am thinking of the laundry, supper, dishes…

When I am doing mindless chores, I say my favorite prayers for family members and friends.

I say the “Glory Be” when I have to be around people who are rude and cruel. It helps me remember that my Heavenly Father is also theirs and I have to love them regaurdless of how they act.

Maybe this will help. I am not always great at doing any of these though. Since my daughters death there are days when I get teary easy and I give them to mary to place at her Son’s feet and ask him to turn them into blessings for the people I don’t like to pray for. Some days, that is my only prayer.
 
You guys are all such an inspiration to me. Thank you!!! I think the biggest blessing I’ve received this week is the realization that I can be a little easier on myself. Ironically this has led to more prayer, not less!

And of course–let’s continue another week! (at the least!)
 
I said my rosary for two days. I did not do it Saturday or Sunday. I will try to do it today.
 
I was fortunate enough to get to go to a Healing Mass last night. I had the baby consacrated to the two hearts while still in the womb! I ask the priest if he would just pray for me and the baby. I just wanted the grace to do what ever God would ask of me. This wonderful priest ask to consacrate the baby. 😃 I can’t get the smile off my face!

I was doing so well. On Sunday I got together with a group and we prayed all the mysteries of the Rosary. Then I totally flopped the next day. I am shutting down my computer to say the rosary now.
 
Can I join too please??
I’m having a really hard time praying lately and everything is going wrong! I used to say the rosary with the children daily and we haven’t said it together for weeks!!
I talk to God in my own words but sometimes I think that is the lazy way out that requires little effort.
I will say the rosary with my children today…

I am trying hare to keep up. Preparing for our Parishes Fall Festival. I am in charge of the carnival tomarrow.

The Statue of the Blessed Virgin Mary is visiting for the weekend. I am hoping to get a rosary in tonight.

I sang the Chapet of Divine Mercy at three o’clock at our Parish today and then went to confession. I hope I can keep up the pace.:whacky:
 
I missed most of last week. I prayed it once this week. I started one earlier in a NYC traffic jam. I was not able to finish it because I was not able to concentrate. I will try to finish it later. I do not think I did the one that I said I was going to do earlier either. 😦 It seems like if I start a rosary, and it does not get finished that day, that I have a hard time finishing it period. It could take days before finishing it. Do you think I would have better luck if I forgot the unfinished rosary, and started fresh?

No, otherwise you’d say the first mystery or two of each group dozens of times and never get to the final one. I always pick up where I finished off the last time, even if it takes me longer to finish each set of mysteries that way.

I think either way is fine.
I have seen on some sites that sell rosaries some small clips that you can mark where you left off at. I have never used one myself.
Don’t beat yourself up over the fact that you can’t get through a whole one.
Do what you can, and don’t feel guilty.
 
Pray for my family. We found out that our unborn child has passed away. I ask Mary to take my baby to Jesus. This is the second child of ours to die this year. Pray for the streingth to tell the children. We were all praying to be able to keep this child. God has a divine plan and someday my heart will rejoice in it I pray.

Thank you so much for the prayers. We have told the children and they took it pretty well. We named the baby Joseph Marie and made a memorial box. I have begun the miscarriage and am praying that I can do this naturally at home. I can not even think of going to the OB floor to deliver. This child has blessed me with another prayer partner and I am so thankful for his or her little life.
 
Please pray for me. I delivered Joseph at home. He was so tiny. I had to go to the emergency room because I was loosing to much blood. I am fine and at home now. My husband had to leave to farm so I am on my own with three children. I am having such a hard time letting Joseph go. I am trying to offer up this suffering and just hang on. I know God has a divine plan. This is just so hard.
