Prayer for a 13 yr. old

One of my fellow homeschooling mom’s is asking prayers for a friend of hers daughter who is 13 years old. This young teenager complained of ear pain for a week to her mom and her mom thought it was an ear infection and so did her doctor and they treated it as so. After a week of ear drops and antibiotics the girl continued in severe pain and so her doctor decided to do an MRI of her brain. They found two large tumors on her left side of her brain and two smaller tumors. They did a biopsy and found them to be cancerous. The mother just finished her chemotherapy because she had cancer and is in remission. This family has been through a lot. Please pray for them. I don’t know their names, but the Lord knows them. My friend is afraid that her friend, the mother’s cancer will return because of the stress of the news and what her daughter is about to endure. So we have two people to pray for her, the mother and the 13 yr. old daughter.

may i suggest … as a practical issue… with head cancers (brain and other) they HAVE to shave off the hair, and radiation and chemo mean loss of hair sometimes as well… for a little girl this is sometimes worse than being ill…
www.tznius.com has instructions on wrapping fancy scarves… and “Focus on scarf styling” is a muslim book about head coverings and wraps…www.wegdan.com has some hats and scarves that are stunning…

all of these could make a little girl (or her mom) feel like she was “dressing up” not being sick.
 
Some prayer requests can sometimes find us prayer warriors bowled over by the sadness and pain of those involved. This is another such request. Know that I will pray for this young girl, her Mom, and the family.
Jesus Christ, Son of the living God please have mercy on this family.

Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners,

I pray for strength and endurance for this family as they find their way through these trials. For their peace of mind and strength of soul. For it will take all they have to reach the end of this struggle. These are the times when God may carry the family as their strength reaches its limits. But rest assured they are not alone and that the Lord walks with them each step of the way.

I join you and all in prayer for this Mom, her 13-year-old daughter, and all in their family.

Through the intercession of St. Peregrine, may God bless them with good medical professionals and treatment to heal and cure their cancer and … comfort and peace as they journey through the struggle to move forward.
