It has already been 9 months since my boyfriend and I broke up. We were actually thinking about getting married but right in the middle of planning everything our relationship took a downfall. Despite my many attempts to talk about it in order to resolve the issues, even to pray together, at the end we had to separate. My intentions were never to break up but only to separate and think clearly. Still after 9 months we are separated and nothing seems to work. I tried praying, seeking advice, it’s like the more I try the worst it gets. Should I give up? Before I started dating him I really prayed God to help me discern. We’ve been dating for 1 year and we always communicate and pray to resolve situations. But this one if beyond me. My heart is still broken. Prayers needed for J

In those situations, turn to the Holy Souls in Purgatory and especially St Rita of Cascia. She has always obtained for me, if not relief, at least comfort.

Offer up your pain and suffering for the release of the Holy Souls who depend so much on our prayers. They are truly helpless, yet few people pray for them. I suggest you offer this Novena to them for this intention.

Honor the Holy Souls and you shall never find yourself conquered by misfortune 🙂

And do not forget Little Therese… her roses are powerful encouragements 🙂

Prayer for a Broken Heart

God, you care deeply for broken-hearted people. This is a promise you make: You are close. We pray for all those who are crippled by broken relationships. Our hearts take the blow of disappointment. We feel crushed because our hopes are dashed. God, heal broken hearts. We cannot fix our own wounds. But you can. If pieces of our heart have been lost, or are held captive by another, recover them and bring them back to us and miraculously “put us back together” so that our heart is whole again. You are a mender of broken hearts. We ask for this miracle, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Jobel: if it makes you feel any better, at age 29, I too broke up with the woman who was the love of my life, and it pained me for many years.

Eventually I matured and got more life experiences, growing spiritually and personally.

Today I AM MARRIED to the GENUINE LOVE OF MY LIFE! A beautiful and loving woman that I had never even thought of finding after losing the first one.

I know it hurts, but don’t think that this is necessarily the end of love for you. I obviously cannot see into the future, but I can say that had I not broken up with my first love, we would not have been happy together in the long run, and more than likely we would have eventually gotten divorced.

So what should YOU do? Live! Laugh! Love! Cry! Get Angry! Get Sad! Learn! Grow! Embrace all the lessons that life has to offer you, and MOST IMPORTANT…cultivate a personal relationship with Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior rather than a textbook knowledge of Him. NOTE: I’m not saying that you haven’t already done this so please don’t be offended. Just talk with Jesus like you would your best friend in the universe! Avoid the stained glass language and invite him to join you for a cup of coffee, or tea, or whatever. Just the two of you…Jesus is waiting.
