Prayer for a broken heart

I have, after much talk with my priest and through examination of my own conscience just broken up with my girlfriend after it was made clear to me that sex before marriage is wrong. My girlfriend is a Catholic too but holds a different view. She unfortunately said her conscience said differently and she can’t stay with me if this is the path I am going to take.

Firstly I ask you to prayer for her, Lydia.

Secondly please prayer for me, this is the hardest thing I have ever had to do and I love her more than life itself. I am utterly destroyed, feeling very alone and really don’t know how to cope with this. I feel dead, why are we called to suffer so much! Please pray.

I will pray for both of you. I know that your priest has helped you but please know that once you confess God has forgiven you. Pray for Lydia and prayer may be the answer. Many young people have gone through this especially nowadays.

You suffer now, but believe me God has plans for you. If you care and love so much He will point you in a direction that is better for you. God’s plan is always better than our own, I promise you. Pour your heart out to God and ask for help!

Maybe its wrong to say, but clearly she does not love you as much as you love her, because she cannot respect you or your and her faith

What about being intimate is so important to her than to wait until you guys get married? Ok, I forgot no questions here.

i know that horrible alone, “dead” feeling all too well.

Father, I come to you for Jonny and ask you to heal his broken heart. Guide him on the path you have for him Lord. Show him the power of prayer Father. I also come to you for the soul of Lydia, show her how wrong she is Lord. Give her the knowledge to understand what a deadly path she is going down. Heal them both during this time of suffering. I pray this in the name of Jesus Christ. AMEN
 
Thank you for all your prayers.

She blames the Priest for how I feel, she also blames the Church. She has taken to sending me hatefilled messages every second of the day and it’s eating away at me. I don’t think she’s praying about what’s going on and she’s not letting the Lord into her heart. She’s destroying herself and it’s killing me to watch. Please keep praying.

*Lord God, send your spirit to move in her please. Lord don’t let her destroy herself; if you won’t force her to see the truth then atleast preserve the faith she has O Lord. Please, I beg you.

You are very courageous indeed and worthy of admiration. May The Lord comfort and console you and relieve you of this suffering being endured for your Faith and Him. Keeping you in daily prayer…
