Prayer for a Priest's Father

Hi all,

I just got word last night that a priest who use to be in my parish–his father is very sick and was just given notice that he only has a few more days to live (it’s a matter of time now before he passes away). The priest is very heart-broken and is asking for prayers for him and his family.

If you could, please pray for this priest and his family since this is a very hard time for them all. Thank you.

O Most Merciful Jesus, Lover of souls! I pray Thee, by the agony of Thy most Sacred Heart, and by the sorrows of Thy Immaculate Mother, cleanse in Thine own Blood the sinners of the whole world, who are now in their agony, and are to die this day.

Lord, please grant a happy death to this priest’s father and comfort his family in their grief. May everyone accept God’s will in this situation and be abandoned to God’s merciful love with all confidence in God’s goodness and mercy. Thank you, Lord, for hearing my prayer. Amen.

Thank You Lord that this man has a priest-son to support him in his final days.
Give this priest all the strength and faith he and the family need, so that he can help, with Your grace, to bring peace to the family.
Please comfort him as he faces and deals with his loss.
