Prayer for a Return to Faith

**I’m not sure how I feel about requesting a prayer for myself…but in return I will dedicate a prayer tonight to someone who’s also in need. I feel prayer is heard, even if I cannot explain how or why, or provide definitive proof this is true. I guess I still have some of my faith;).

My request revolves around this bit of faith which still remains: If I can bolster that bit with anything, I would like to do it. Please pray, if you are inclined and after praying for those of a more pressing urgency, that I may keep my faith, that I may nurture my faith, and that it will grow and lift me with the strength of Christ I need to return fully to the Catholic faith. That this newfoudn faith may provide the desire to make any needed changes in my lifestyle to bring all of this about.

I thank you for any time you may spend in prayer!**

That is extrememly important. And I will offer a prayer for you.

Lord,
Help her grow in love and devotion to you every day. Help her to hold on to You when times get tough, and let her faith grow higher than the tallest trees. Keep her safe Lord and guide her. Through the intercession of Mary, I pray.
Amen.

Please offer up prayers for fallen away Catholics. They need many prayers.

When I am low and feeling my faith shaken, I think of myself curled up in on the lap of God, with His big arms and billowing robes around me. Most often my prayer at those times is a simple one. “Father just don’t let go of me.”

Fan that little flame with the soft breeze of prayer and it will grow.
If I may also suggest, please go and spend some time alone in the presence of the Blessed Sacrament.
Our hearts are with you.

Lord, I pray for Annus Mirabilis. Please keep him/her true in faith and conscience and never let him/her be separated from you. May he/she nourish his/her faith with daily prayer, spiritual reading, the Sacraments, and a life lived with strong love of you and neighbor. May Annus Mirablilis consider getting a holy priest to be his/her spiritual director to offer him/her the support and guidance on his/her spiritual journey of faith that he/she needs. Bless Annus Mirabilis with a fruiful, holy life of strong faith, hope and love. Thank you, Lord, for hearing my prayer. Amen.

You have already taken the first step in returning to your faith by coming here and asking for prayers. God is always patient, waiting for those of us who have let our faith slip for one reason or another, to come back to him. May your faith continue to grow from this day forward, I will keep you in my prayers. God Bless

Eternal Father, we cannot endure prolonged or severe spiritual desolation without Your support. Please comfort us, and increase our faith.

You know that Jesus, though sinless, chose to suffer with us, drinking the cup of our unloving choices. Jesus suffered doubt as we do when He cried out, “My God, My God, why have You abandoned Me?” We unite our doubt with His, for You look with silent pity and unspeakable love on Your Son.

Jesus, You say to me, “Take up your cross and follow Me!” “If you love me, keep my commandments.” I fix my eyes upon the bright scars of Your ransom for me. Why did You suffer so terribly for me who even now remain unconverted? Yet Your wounds, Your hands, Your heart and Your word are filled with promises that You desire to fulfil in me and in others.

Give us strength to bear doubt when it comes, our God, so that with Jesus we can say, “Father, into Your hands I commend my spirit”, thus joining with Him to death of unbelief and sin—into freedom of rising with Him into the glory of the redeemed spirit. April

I offer You my only coin—trust against all appearances, hope despite my heartache, and faith despite my sins and flaws. Mercifully accept this meagre offering and open Your treasure house of love to me and my loved ones, and to those whom You wish to serve through me.
