Hi all, I was diagnosed with acid reflux when I was 14 and have suffered from it ever since. Nothing seems to get rid of the problem. I have taken several medications for it, which only subside the pain. Sometimes, anything will irritate it - even water!

I am in no way a perfect eater when it comes to this. There are times when I allow myself to have something mildly spicy or citrusy, etc.

I ask for prayers regarding my condition as I know it can lead to more serious complications like cancer.

Thank you.

God bless! 😃

I know what it is like to have chronic acid reflux. I had it so bad back in April and May that I had to see a Gastroenterologist and he did an upper endoscopy. He found a polyp in my distal esophagus (the part near your stomach). I am now on Prilosec every day. It does seem to help quite a bit. Anyway, you have my prayers.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou amongst women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

Remember oh most gracious Virgin Mary that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection, implored thy help, or sought thine intercession was left unaided. Inspired by this confidence I fly unto thee oh Virgin of virgins, my Mother. To thee I come, before thee I stand, sinful and sorrowful. Oh Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions but in thy mercy hear and answer me. Amen.

Saint Lydwina of Schiedham, holy patron against prolonged suffering, pray for PolishK. Amen.

Pray the Rosary. Then, ask your doctor to prescribe Nexium and take it every day. My wife has awful acid reflux and this was the only medicine that beat it. But she has to take it daily.

Try a teaspoon of honey twice a day for one week as it neutralizes the acid. If this does not work take zegerid OTC 40mg once a day.

I also know what it’s like to have chronic acid reflux. I had “floppy valve syndrome” as a baby, and another condition I have called irritable bowel syndrome has excacerbated my acid reflux. I take omeprazole and that works really well, a lot of patients at the hospital I work at take it to good effect.

Praying for you.

I was diagnosed with GERD (Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease) at 19. It’s awful! I was prescribed Nexium by my doctor, but it was so expensive and I could not afford it. My grandmother suggested that I try Prilosec and see what happens as it works for her. It didn’t work for me. It made me nauseous. I can take Pepcid Complete sometimes and it will work, but I had a really bad case of acid reflux about 2 weeks ago, and the only thing that would help was a slice of bread with a bit of margarine. I’ve tried numerous things. Sometimes, the only thing that works is letting it go away on its own, which is painful.

I will pray that your acid reflux gets better. My doctor said that if mine becomes a huge problem, I can think about getting my gallbladder taken out, but I am not sure I want to undergo major surgery for something that can be pretty controlled with medicine. :o

Try two teaspoons of organic apple cider vinegar in 8 ounces of water with an optional dash of organic honey if you want to sweeten the drink.

Praying for your good health …

Lord, please help PolishK. Help him to find something to control his acid reflux. May he keep patient and strong in faith, hope and love amid this trial. Thank you, Lord, for hearing my prayer. Amen.

My husband has been suffering from this for years, so I understand your fears.

Praying for your healing …
