Prayer for all Seminarians

**Lord Jesus, once You called the first disciples in order to make them fishers of men. Continue to let resound today Your sweet invitation:

" Come and follow Me."

Grant to young men and women the grace of responding promptly to Your voice. Sustain our Bishops, priests and consecrated souls in their apostolic work. Give perseverance to our seminarians and to all who are fulfilling the ideal of a life of total consecration to Your service.
Enkindle in our communities a missionary zeal. Send, Lord, workers into Your fields and do not let mankind be lost because of a lack of pastors, missionaries, and people dedicated to the cause of the Gospel.
Mary, Mother of the Church, model of vocations, help us say “yes” to the Lord who calls us to collaborate in the divine design of salvation. Amen.**

Please bless all seminarians and help them in their formation so they will be fully prepared to love and serve You and your people in their ministry. Please bless the efforts of all who pray for vocations and who support our seminarians both spiritually and financially as they make their journey towards the life you have called them to. Please grant the seminarians special graces in the counselling and consoling aspects of their ministry, and help them to spread the Good News with passion and creativity as they feed your lambs. Thank you Lord for each of these blessed seminarians, and help all of us to support them in their development and formation. We pray especially for Fernando this day.

O God our Father, You promised “I will appoint shepherds for My sheep who will shepherd them so that they need no longer fear and tremble: an none shall be missing.” (Jer. 23:4-5). Hear the prayers of Your flock. Through the intercession of Your beloved priest, Saint John Vianney, we beg You to call to the sacramental priesthood generous men who will desire nothing more than to serve You in imitation of Your Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, our High Priest.

And after You call them, we pray that You sustain the doubtful, console the discouraged, and strengthen the weak as they start the long and demanding preparation for the priesthood.

Mary, Mother of priests, and example of faithful, humble, and joyful acceptance of God’s will, help all those who are called to the priesthood to open their ears and hearts to the gentle call of the Holy Spirit.
