Prayer for book

Hello all- I’m a 31 year old male who has battled pornography addiction for most of my life. Probably from age 13 to age 28, and it certainly rears its ugly head every once in awhile even now. It has been on my mind the last 3 years, I guess ever since I’ve rid this problem from my daily life, to write a book about my journey, and how to help others who are battling the same problem. Not that I’m an expert or that I don’t still struggle with this problem from time to time, but I am enjoying the fruit of purity in my life. It’s all a grace given to me by God of course, as is everything else we receive in life. I told a good friend that there are probably already books out there about overcoming pornography addiction, but he said there aren’t enough of these books. The problem of pornography is so present in the world, more of us need to speak up. I don’t necessarily want to write about my journey, but God is kind of nagging at me! I just wanted to know if you could please pray for me and write a book that will glorify God and help others with this problem. Thank you.

You are the Saint and it is your testimony. It is your book to write. ONe point to make is how can a normal woman, hopefully, a good Christian be a good wife to you that will please you when you have pornographic visions in your memory, That is the damage of pornography.

A Prayer Against the Pornography Industry

Mother Mary,
we ask you to remove the evil of pornography,
and set our world free by the blood of Jesus.

Let us be an example throughout the world,
to end the evil that hurts Your Immaculate Heart.
Let us be pure ourselves.

Let us pray with purity.
Let us be heard by Your Son, Jesus.

We pray for all those hurt and involved in the industry that
they may be saved in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.

We pray for all who are hurt
and tortured by emotional and physical pain,
by addictions and temptations.

We pray for all children
aborted throughout this industry.
We pray for all incestuous relations to end.
We pray that this world’s many sins
are stopped forever.

Jesus, save us.
Save all of our souls.

I am not worthy in this prayer
to beseech you to take this evil from our world.
Therefore, I beseech you,
my Blessed Mother,
take my prayer to your Son, Jesus.

Help our world overcome evil with Love.

Jesus, Mary, and Joseph, pray for us.

Oh, my Jesus, forgive us our sins,
save us from the fires of hell,
lead all souls to heaven,
especially those in most need of Thy Mercy.

Praying for you and that you follow the call to write such a book. Pornography is a truly evil, insidious scourge on society, as you well know. You will have no shortage of readers, that is (unfortunately) for sure. May I suggest a blog in addition to or preceding the book.

Do not hide your light under a bushel basket. You did not come through your journey just to keep it to yourself–what you can say to help men and women currently enslaved will bless you many times over!
