I recently returned from an ACTS retreat, which was wonderful for anyone contemplating going…I would like all who see this to send up a prayer of thanksgiving for my prayer partner Cindy. She’d been praying for me when she only had my number!!! Not even my name, and then when she had my name she still didn’t know me. That’s almost like giving birth!! She is a nurse, so I’m praying to St. Raphael to sustain her as she gives the love of the Lord in her own teaching and guiding nurses.

I will continue this to give her the same gift she has given me.

I give you a new commandment: love one another. As I have loved you, so you also should love one another.
John 13:34

Thank you Lord for Cindy and all who share Your love; may she be repaid with kindness.

Hail Mary,
Full of Grace,
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the Fruit of Thy Womb,
Jesus.
Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of our death.
Amen

Our Father, Who art in heaven,
Hallowed be Thy Name.
Thy Kingdom come.
Thy Will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil. Amen.

God bless you both for having such generous hearts. And God bless you for your spirit of thanksgiving. How thanksgiving pleases God!
Our God please give Cindy and wgholland, all the graces aof love and gratitude that inspires others to know ant to follow Your Son.

I immediately wanted to share with you the following poem “But” written by a Divine Word Missionary, inspiring us to love of others, even in the smallest gestures of human kindness.

It was only a sunny smile,
And little it cost in the giving;
But it scattered the night
Like morning light,
And made the day worth living.
Through life’s dark warp a woof it wove
In shining colours of hope and love;
And the angels smiled as they watched above,
Yet little it cost in the giving.

It was only a kindly word, a word that was lightly spoken;
But not in vain,
For it stilled the pain
Of a heart that was nearly broken
It strengthened a faith beset with fears,
And groping blindly through mists of tears,
For light to brighten the coming years,
Although it was lightly spoken.

It was only a helping hand
And it seemed of little availing;
But its clasp was warm,
And it saved from harm
A brother whose strength was failing.
Its touch was tender as angels’ wings
But it rolled the stone from the hidden springs
And pointed the way to higher things,
Though it seemed of little availing.

Loving God,

We thank you for your many blessings in our lives and for the gift of prayerful people who share their love in the most generous ways with people in need. We lift up the intentions tonight for wgholland’s new friend in Christ, Cindy, who is a blessing and a wonderful example of how to engage and excite your people in their prayer life. Lord, we pray that you will bless and keep dear Cindy, and help her to continue in her ministry with great effect. We pray that her good works will be multiplied by the example she sets and the increase in prayer from many who come in contact with her.

We pray in the name of your beloved son and our Good Shepherd, Jesus our Lord and Savior.

Amen.
