Eternal Father, I offer Thee the Sacred Heart of Jesus, with all its love, all its sufferings and all its merits.

First … To expiate all the sins I have committed this day and during all my life.

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit.
As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.

Second … To purify the good I have done poorly this day and during all my life.

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit.
As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.

Third … To supply for the good I ought to have done, and that I have neglected this day and all my life.

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit.
As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.

Psalm 51

Have mercy on me Lord in your kindness,
In your compassion blot out my offense,
Wash me more and more from my guilt,
And cleanse me from my sin.

My offenses, truly I know them,
My sin is always before me,
Against you, you alone have I sinned.
What Is evil in your sight I have done.

That you may be justified when you give sentence,
And be without reproach when you judge.
Oh, see in guilt I was born,
A sinner was I conceived.

Indeed you love truth in the heart,
Then in the secret of my heart teach me wisdom,
O purify me and I shall be clean,
O wash me and I shall be whiter than snow.

Make me hear rejoicing and gladness,
That the bones you crushed may revive,
From my sins turn away your face
And blot out all my guilt.

A pure heart create for me, O God,
Put a steadfast spirit within me.
Do not cast me away from your presence,
Nor deprive me of your holy spirit.

Give me again the joy of your help;
With a spirit of fervor sustain me,
That I may teach transgressors your ways
And sinners may return to you.

O rescue me, God, my helper,
And my tongue shall ring out your goodness.
O Lord, open my lips
And my mouth shall declare your praise.

For in sacrifice you take no delight,
Burnt offerings from me you would refuse,
My sacrifice, a contrite spirit,

In your goodness, show favor to Zion:
Rebuild the walls of Jerusalem.
Then you will be pleased with lawful sacrifice,
Holocausts offered on your altar.

Glory to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit,
as it was in the beginning, is now, and will be forever. Amen

From Hunho:
For the times I lacked compassion and concern for others,
forgive me Lord.

For not sharing my resources of time, talent, and treasure,
forgive me Lord.

For holding grudges and refusing to have a forgiving heart,
forgive me Lord.

For the times I have criticized and gossiped,
forgive me Lord.

For not reaching out to comfort and console others,
forgive me Lord.

For not caring for myself physically, emotionally, and spiritually,
forgive me Lord.

For the ways I misuse nature and damage the environment,
forgive me Lord.

For those times when I talked more than I listened,
forgive me Lord.

For my prejudices, biases, and deliberate acts of discrimination,
forgive me Lord.

For being greedy,
forgive me Lord.

For the misuse and abuse of the wonderful gift of spirituality,
forgive me Lord.

For failing to see your face in the homeless and helpless,
forgive me Lord.

For believing that I could save myself,
forgive me Lord.

For not living fully for you,
forgive me Lord.

For doubting that you can and will forgive me unconditionally,
forgive me Lord.

For doubting that you love me with an everlasting love,
forgive me Lord.

Amen.

PRAYER TO
GOD THE FATHER # 3
(By Saint Margaret Mary Alacoque)
Eternal Father,
I offer unto Thee the infinite satisfaction
which Jesus rendered to Thy justice
on behalf of sinners upon the tree of the Cross;
and I pray that Thou wouldst make the merits of His Precious Blood
available to all guilty souls
to whom sin has brought death;
may they rise again to the life of grace
and glorify Thee for ever.

Eternal Father,
I offer Thee the fervent devotion of the Sacred Heart of Jesus
in satisfaction for the lukewarmness and cowardice of Thy chosen people,
imploring Thee by the burning love
which made Him suffer death,
that it may please Thee to rekindle their hearts
now so lukewarm in Thy service,
and to set them on fire with Thy love,
that they may love Thee for ever.

Eternal Father,
I offer Thee the submission of Jesus to Thy will,
and I ask of Thee,
through His merits,
the fullness of all grace
and the accomplishment of all Thy holy will.
Blessed be God!

Amen.

While remembering God’s word that teaches us that it is practical kindness to others that is the reparation for sin that God desires,

“Cease to do evil. Learn to do good, search for justice, help the oppressed, be just to the orphan, and plead for the widow. Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow.” [Isaiah 1:17-18]

we pray,

Prayer of Entrustment to the Divine Mercy

O Lord, our God.
We place our trust in You,
Because you are mercy itself.
We repent of our sins and turn to You for mercy.
We trust You to provide for our every need, according to Your will.
Help us to forgive others as You forgive us.
We promise to be merciful by our deeds, words and prayers.
Though we have fears because of human weakness, we rely on Your infinite goodness and mercy.
We entrust to You the future of our planet, our Church, our nations, our families and all our needs.
With loud cries we implore your mercy on us and on the whole world.
Look upon us, created in your image and likeness.
Form us in the Heart of Mary by the power of the Holy Spirit into the living images of mercy.
May all come to know the depth of Your mercy and sing the praises of Your mercy forever.

Amen!

A PRAYER
FOR THE FORGIVENESS OF SINS.
(By St. Gemma Galgani)
My Jesus, I place all my sins before you.
In my estimation
They do not deserve pardon,
But I ask you
To close your eyes
To my want of merit
And open them
To your infinite merit.

Since you willed
To die for my sins,
Grant me forgiveness
For all of them.
Thus, I may no longer feel
The burden of my sins,
A burden that oppresses me
Beyond measure.

Assist me, dear Jesus,
For I desire to become good
No matter what the cost
Take away, destroy,
And utterly root out
Whatever you find in me
That is contrary
To your holy will.
At the same time, dear Jesus, illumine me
So that I may walk in your holy light.
