I just received word that my Aunt (65 yrs old) has lost her battle to cancer. Prayers for the repose of her soul are appreciated. God bless you all.

**Byzantine Catholic Prayer for the Dead **

O Lord, grant rest to the soul of PietroPaolo’s aunt in a place of light, a place of green pasture, a place of refreshment, where all pain, sorrow, and sighing have fled away. As a good God Who loves mankind, forgive every sin committed by her, in word or deed or thought, for there is no person who lives and does not sin. For You alone are without sin, Your righteousness is everlasting, and Your Word is truth. Through Christ Our Lord, Amen.

***Hail Mary,
Full of Grace,
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit
of thy womb,
Jesus.
Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of our death
Amen.

:crossrc:***

Saint Michael, the archangel, defend us in battle, be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil, may God rebuke him, we humbly pray. And do you, O’ Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God thrust into Hell Satan and all the other evil spirits who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls.

Amen.

†

Our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name.

Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.

And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

Amen.

If you would kindly give me her name, I will have daily masses said for her, as I am a patron of the Holy Souls Sodality. Thank you. RJB

Thank you all. I know my Aunt will be comforted by your prayers (unless, Heaven forbid, she is beyond comfort). She was in formation to become a religious sister, but abandoned her vocation in the wake of the Council and the Sexual Revolution. She wandered spiritually for awhile, but died a member of Christ’s Church.

Thanks again.
