***Prayer to St. Jude
( Patron of Desperate Causes )

St. Jude, apostle of Christ, the Church
honors and prays to you universally as the
patron of hopeless and difficult cases. Pray for us in our needs.Make use,we
implore you, of this powerful privilege
given to you to bring visible and speedy
help where help is needed. Pray that we humbly accept the trials

Let us see the reflection of the sufferings of Christ in our daily trials and tribulations.
Let us see in a spirit of great faith and hope the part we even now share in the
joy of Christ’s resurrection, and which we
long to share fully in heaven. Intercede
that we may again experience this joy in
answer to our present needs if it is God’s
desire for us. ( Here make your request.)
We know our prayers will be heard
through Your intercession.
Amen.

Memorare (Prayer to Our Lady)
Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to your protection, implored your help, or sought your intercession, was left unaided.
Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto you, O Virgin of virgins, my Mother. To you do I come, before you I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in your mercy, hear and answer me. Amen

Prayer to The Shoulder Wound Of Christ!

Oh loving Jesus, meek Lamb of God, I, a miserable sinner,
salute and worship the most sacred wound of Thy shoulder,
on which Thou didst bear Thy heavy cross, which so tore Thy
flesh and laid bare Thy bones as to inflict on Thee an anguish greater
than any other wound of Thy most blessed body. I adore
Thee, O Jesus most sorrowful. I praise and glorify Thee,
and give Thee thanks for this most sacred and painful wound, beseeching thee by that exceeding pain, and by the crushing burden of Thy heavy cross to be
merciful to me, a sinner, to forgive me all my mortal and venial sins, and to lead me on towards Heaven along the Way of Thy cross.

In Jesus’ name I ask that you grant me a holy life and a holy death, that I might rise to hear you call my name in heaven so that I might glorify you always; and grant your loving mercy to the people of Chile; may the international community come together in a spirit of love and cooperation to heal the country.

Amen to all.

Please Jesus,hear my prayer!

Prayers for Hope and Comfort
Prayer Attributed to St. Augustine
Watch, dear Lord, with those who wake or watch or weep tonight, and give your angels charge over those who sleep. Tend your sick ones, O Lord Jesus Christ, rest your weary ones, bless your dying ones, soothe your suffering ones, shield your joyous ones, and all for your love’s sake. Amen.

PRAYER TO SAINT JOSEPH
FOR SANCTIFICATION OF LABOUR
O God, the creator of all things,
you framed the law of labour for the human race.
Graciously grant,
by the example and patronage of St. Joseph,
that we may do the work You provide us
and earn the reward You promise.
Sustain us with Your grace
to live up to our duties
in charity and justice.

Amen.

A PARENT’S PRAYER
TO SAINT JOSEPH
O glorious St. Joseph,
to you God committed the care
of His only begotten Son
amid the many dangers of this world.
We come to you
and ask you to take under your special protection
the children God has given us.
Through holy baptism
they became children of God
and members of His holy Church.
We consecrate them to you today,
that through this consecration
they may become your foster children.
Guard them,
guide their steps in life,
form their hearts
after the hearts of Jesus and Mary.

St. Joseph,
who felt the tribulation and worry of a parent
when the child Jesus was lost,
protect our dear children for time and eternity.
May you be their father and counsellor.
Let them, like Jesus,
grow in age as well as in wisdom and grace
before God and men.
Preserve them from the corruption of his world,
and give us the grace one day to be united
with them in Heaven forever.

Amen.

PRAYER TO SAINT JOSEPH,
PATRON OF WORKERS
Glorious Saint Joseph,
you are the pattern of all who work.
Obtain for me, please,
the grace to work conscientiously
and to put devotion to duty
before my selfish inclinations.
Help me to labor in thankfulness and joy,
for it is an honour to employ
and to develop by my labour the gifts
I have received from almighty God.
Grant that I may work in orderliness,
peace, moderation and patience
without shrinking from weariness and difficulties.
I offer my fatigue and perplexities
as reparation for sin.
I shall work, above all,
with a pure intention
and with detachment from self,
having always before my eyes
the hour of death
and the accounting
which I must then render of time ill-spent,
of talents unemployed,
of good undone,
and of empty pride in success,
which is so fatal to the work of God.
For Jesus through Mary,
all in imitation of you,
good Saint Joseph.
This shall be my motto in life and in death.

Amen.

PRAYER OF TRUST TO SAINT JOSEPH
IN MOMENTS OF ANGUISH AND HARDSHIP.
Blessed Saint Joseph,
your intercession can make possible impossible things
come to help me in these moments of anguish and hardship.
Take under your protection
the difficult and grave situations I commend to you,
so they have a happy solution according to God’s will.

My beloved father:
I trust you entirely
and abandon myself as a small child
sleeping in his dad’s arms.

That could not be said I appealed to you in vain.
And as you, through the Lord,
can everything accomplish in front of Jesus and Mary,
show me your kindness is as greater as your power.

Amen.

EVENING PRAYER # 5
Prayer # 5

Ah, Lord,
how many nights have I slept in enmity with Thee?
O God!
in what a miserable state was my soul during that time!
it was hated by Thee,
and wished to be hated by Thee.
I was condemned to hell;
there was nothing wanting
but the execution of the sentence.
But Thou, my God,
hast never ceased to seek after me,
and invite me to pardon.
But who can assure me
that Thou hast pardoned me?
Must I, O my Jesus!
live in this uncertainty
till Thou dost judge me?
But the sorrow which I feel
for having offended Thee,
my desire to love Thee,
and still more,
Thy Passion,
O my beloved Redeemer!
make me hope that Thy grace dwells in my soul.
I am sorry for having offended Thee,
O Sovereign Good!
and I love Thee above all things.
I resolve to forfeit everything
rather than lost Thy grace and Thy love.
Thou dost wish that the heart
which seeks Thee should be full of joy.
“Let the heart of them rejoice that seek the Lord.”
Lord, I detest all the injuries
I have offered to Thee.
Give me courage and confidence;
do not upbraid me with my ingratitude;
for I myself know and detest it.
Thou hast said that Thou willest not
the death of a sinner,
but that he be converted and live.
Yes, my God,
I leave all things and turn to Thee.
Give me Thy love;
I ask nothing else.
O Mary! thou, after Jesus, art my hope;
obtain for me holy perseverance.

By St. Alphonsus Liguori

O Loving Jesus, meek Lamb of God, I a miserable sinner, salute and worship the most Sacred Wound of Thy Shoulder on which Thou didst bear Thy heavy Cross, which so tore Thy Flesh and laid bare Thy Bones as to inflict on Thee an anguish greater than any other Wound of Thy Most Blessed Body. I adore Thee, O Jesus most sorrowful; I praise and glorify Thee and give Thee thanks for this most sacred and painful Wound, beseeching Thee by that exceeding pain and by the crushing burden of Thy heavy Cross to be merciful to me, a sinner, to forgive me all my mortal and venial sins, and to lead me on towards Heaven along the Way of Thy Cross. In Jesus’ name (state petition or intention) Amen to all.

Pope Eugenius III, at the earnest request of St. Bernard, has granted three thousand years Indulgence to all who with a contrite heart, recite the Lord’s Prayer and Hail Mary 3 times, in honor of the Wound on the Shoulder of Our Blessed Redeemer.
