Praying for the ole furball! May he recover from his infirmities.
 
Update on Kona:

Kona was seen by a local vet who specializes in physical therapy and orthopedic issues. Kona has a badly inflamed shoulder. Vet recommended a course of anti-inflammatories and pain medicine for a week, along with strict limits on exercise and no outdoor play. Poor guy has been basically put on bed rest. The vet will see him in a week to see if the inflammation goes down. If there is no improvement, then it’s x-ray time with possible surgery.
 
Further updates on Kona:

Kona has not responded to medications and continues to limp. Please keep him in prayers. In less than an hour, we will take him to see the vet again. Hopefully this time the vet will do some x-rays and we can get a look at what’s going on.

Update folks: Yesterday, Kona had an x-ray done that revealed a massive tumor in his neck that was pushing down on his shoulder. Today, he went in for additional testing. We will get the results back from the lab tomorrow and know whether it’s treatable or not. If it’s not treatable, we might have a very difficult decision on our hands soon.

Kona has an appointment with the surgeon tomorrow. If it’s operable they will remove it. If not, they’ll put him to sleep. Pray for a successful outcome.
 
Kona is not having surgery. We brought him home to enjoy the time he has left with us. The surgeon said the tumor is too aggressive and too large to remove.
