Prayer for estranged father

Today my father basically said he wanted nothing to do with me after launching into a vulgar attack on my Mom’s side of the family (they are divorced). Without going into detail right now (literally happened 15 min ago), is there a non-spontaneous prayer that I can offer for him?

Any help would be great. God bless you all.

The Rosary or the Chaplet of Divine Mercy come to mind.

Praying for you and your family.
 
Praying for a softening of his heart sounds like bitterness has taken over. My dad is like that too, he is old and has some dementia.
Praying for you to endure love for him, as it is a hard road.

Heavenly Father, please heal and comfort this heart grieving over Dad’s rejection and bitterness. Please touch the father’s heart and heal his anger and resentment and rebuild this relationship. I ask You in Jesus name.
